Just about the worst restaurant experience I've had. The restautant was effectively deserted on a Sunday night. They were too cheap to turn on the air con so it was sweltering. Our seafood dish was padded out with seafood extender. One of the dishes was quite dry so I asked for some sauce with it, which showed up on the bill as an unexpected $3.5 charge (they didn't mention the cost when I asked and it's not on the menu). When we asked for them to take it off the bill because we wouldn't have ordered it if we knew, they refused and claimed I should have asked if it cost money. Avoid avoid avoid.

I had a very unpleasant experience dining here with my boyfriend on a Sunday evening. We ordered the Birds Nest Seafood dish and special friend rice and a batter fried shredded steak. The seafood dish was insipid, fried rice was burnt and charred and the shredded steak was dry. The proprietor was terribly rude when we asked about an extra charge for some sauce. This wasn't listed on the menu and we weren't told that there would be an extra charge. The proprietor/manager yelled at us and was very rude when we enquired about it. I won't go back there and do avoid it if you are looking for a pleasant dinner.

Ordered takeaway from here late last year and the food was terrible. Ordered a vegetable stir fry and it only had cabbage and carrot in it. We also had the lemon chicken and it was so dry and hard we couldn't chew it. We figured it must have just been an off day for them and tried it again last night. The steamed dim sims had hard lumps of something in them, the satay chicken skewers were revolting, hard and very chewy it didn't even taste like chicken. The BBQ pork omelette was also horrible. The meat again was so hard we couldn't eat it because we couldn't chew it. Will not be going back. It is almost like the food they serve is reheated

Ordered 4 dishes between 4 people. There was over a 15 minute delay between the first and the last dish served. During that time I saw two orders of take away come out of the kitchen so they must have thought well they have 3 dishes already

The food here is fine.It's not great, but it's not bad either.I had a small lunchtime order the other day, and it was ready when she said it would be ready. Hot and fresh from the fryer, and still as good by the time i got it home.Yes, the restaurant is ageing... Personally I don't go places for the decor.I like good food and polite customer service, and that's exactly what I've always received from Hazelbrook Chinese Restaurant.Value for a lunch special was fine, $16.50 for a serve with rice.Overall prices as with everywhere else.I'll be back for sure. Thanks Hazo!

Rubbish food. As authentic as a breast implant. A large menu with foid that can't possibly be the freshest, given the low number of diners in the large place. Every thing comes in a bland, gluggy sauce in various colours.

Ordered the Szechuan beef and chicken combination, and it tasted like I was eating pure salt. Chicken and beef both tasted bland, to the point I could no longer stomach eating more than a few bites.

This is a typical bad restaurant. The Zechuan chicken is too salty. As a Chinese proverb, the salesman who sells the salt must be sentenced to death. The bbq pork in Chinese style has no flavor at all. The meals were very expensive. It is just like pork cooked in the soy sauce. All the meals were thrown away with a waste! This is completely destroyed my holiday in NSW.
