Recommend for a relaxed event where the focus is on the food and people! We had our wedding at Eataliano by Pino in February 2022 because we love the food - and the food did not disappoint, it was outstanding! We had comments from many guests on how good the food was, and there was plenty to go around. Eataliano was very accommodating of all of our requests, including the type of food and drinks served, and an agreement to serve cake and to have some small decorations set up at the venue. Although they didn't have a formal function package when we organised our event, they organised everything bespoke for us and provided an invoice and detailed event plan.Recommended for people who are relaxed about their wedding/event and happy to go with the flow on the day! Being a restaurant, we had to be ready to rock up on the day and be happy with the restaurant as it was (beautifully decorated naturally with plants and decorations hanging from the roof), with our family helping to set up some minor things on the day, including the cake table and some signs and flowers. The restaurant had meal services either side of the event which meant everything needed to be set up and packed up that day. The organisation of the event was also very relaxed, which you need to be comfortable with if it is a big event like a wedding. If this is your style, we highly recommend Eataliano by Pino as the food, warmth of the staff and environment were fantastic and created a unique venue for a special event!

Probably one of the worst meals I have had in Melbourne. The food arrived suspiciously fast, yes they weren't that busy for a Saturday night however it definitely takes longer than 2 minutes to shallow fry a large arancini with rice and meat. The pizza dough smelled heavily of yeast, tomato sauce was beyond acidic and eggplant barely seasoned - instead relying on the 'perceived' quality of ingredients to shine through.Caprese salad also truly lacked with barely any basil and below par mozzarella. The five star reviews here are misleading albeit they are likely from a time where the restaurant was under previous owners.

pizzeria close to chapel st. Food is nice. Cannoli and tiramisù were good. But there are many italian restaurants in the area and, honestly, i would choose somewhere else (price, quality, customer service wise)

Pizza came out quick and it was good but I sorta think it is overpriced considering the amount of ingredients they put. Not much prawns and prosciutto compared to other pizza places. Services were also just ok.

Italian place away from the hustle and bustle of chapel street. Kind of your neighbourhood Italian place with a touch of class. The pizza is thin and Abit doughy towards the crust. The pasta was Al dente but lacking enough strong flavours in our opinion.Food - 7Service - 7Vibe - 8Price - $$$

Yum pizza. Good taste and crusts. I've ordered a few times, the only issue is sometimes a but stingy with the mushrooms. Otherwise nice experience

Worst pizza ever. Horrible tomato sauce. Mozzarella was not even melted. Wired ameboid shape, not even a nice round one. Last but not least, it was burnt!Service: ZERO stars. Drinks came out one by one....(and there were just five of us). Waitress took away plates with almost half pizzas still left and did not ask any feedback (the gluten free one)... We were not asked about any desserts, or if everything was ok at the end of the bill.Last time I came here it was beautiful. Quality has literally gone nuts. It's a pitty, but this time everything was not looking the right way. I hope this is not read as a complaint, rather as a constructive criticism. The pizza dough was very good actually, but the quality of the toppings and the service, needs some urgent uplift. The attached picture is to show the mozzarella stripes... Finally, I would suggest to switch the fresh tomato dices with the cherry tomatoes, as italian tradition dictates.

This place was great, the service was very friendly, the food was brought out very quickly even though they were busy,. Not sure if it is always busy but I suggest making a booking. The food was well priced for the quality and portion sizes with reasonable drink prices. The Polenta fries serving was a little small and they did have a wine we were after, we'll be back for sure.
