Definitely very worthwhile to visit. Some very interesting exhibits especially in the permanent location. I could spent a whole day here but didn't have enough time. Free entry

What a great museum. Plenty of interesting things to see. There is an amazing photo exhibition at the moment as well as an interesting documentary to watch. The animal and dinosaur exhibits are great. The historical artifacts on the early settlers of Tasmania including transportation like trains was interesting. The exhibit on space and space travel was also fascinating. Overall a great place to visit and I would be happy to go again.

Not only kids but also adults love this place. This is an amazing place, and my kids also can buy some shark teeth from the gift shop which made their day great.

A very good museum worth spending a couple of hours exploring and reading about Tasmania's rich history. It's a museum close to the CBD, reachable with the free Tiger bus and offering a diverse collection of Australian animals, old transport systems, dinosaurs and other interesting display. There's plenty of parking and still walkable from the city.

The QVMAG Museum is a great place to go and have a look around and learn about some history. There's exhibits about Dinosaurs, Transportation, a Ship wreck and there's a Planetarium as well. If you have kids around, there's a fun spot in the heart of the museum full of fun gizmo and things to play around with and learn. There was also a cafe there that opens sometimes. Definitely worth getting something to eat there as a treat if it opens. It was close the last time I went there. The beauty about this museum is that it is FREE in terms of entry. There's also a gift shop that you can buy a souvenir for a friend or for a family member. Apart from these main attractions, there are exhibits that are there temporarily and changes fairly frequently. It's worth checking out the museum and the art gallery here in Launnie.

I had a few hours to kill and decided to take a look at the museum, it was a great decision!Helpful members of staff directed me to the planetarium which whilst small was full of info and history of Tasmanian research. The main display shows a sad history of the Tasmania Tiger, a good dinosaur display, an old bike display, an old Alfa Romeo and a photographic display upstairs. I loved the old train display and especially the railway workshopsThis was a great use of my few hours. I really enjoyed it!
