Good place to go, but need to go the beach through camel rock beach. Don't go to the horse head rock view point, that is only for platform to view, not for the beach in horse head rock. It is safer when it is low tide.

Park at the camel rock beach carpark to view horse head rock. We took the very narrow walking trail out to the headland past a couple of viewing platforms and noticed footprints at ground level. The headland is sheer cliffs and has no beach access. I imagine you would have to walk from the beach during low tide to get to a ground level view. The headland walk took us about an hour return and heaps of lizards running on the track had us on edge for snakes too. The carpark had a decent amount of parks at the end of a short dirt road.

Such a stunning view! Easy walk upto the horse head point from the car park for camel rock. But look out for the intricate roots that may trip you up.

Prepare to be transported to a dreamy realm when you set your eyes upon the mesmerizing Horse Head Rock. This enchanting rock formation, nestled near Bermagui along the Sapphire Coast, truly lives up to its name. Resembling the elegant neck of a majestic pony, it exudes a sense of grace and mystique. What makes it even more remarkable is its historical significance—boasting an age of over 500 million years, it stands as one of New South Wales' most ancient geological wonders. To fully appreciate the beauty of Horse Head Rock, I recommend visiting the lookout platform, which can be accessed via a scenic 1.5-kilometer elevated walking track between Camel Rock and Murunna Point. While the journey itself is an immersive experience, please keep in mind that if you choose to approach the rock from Camel Rock Surf Beach, access is only possible during low tide and calm seas. Additionally, it is essential to wear appropriate footwear like hiking boots, as the rocks can be quite slippery.Be prepared to be captivated by the ethereal ambiance and surreal beauty that Horse Head Rock offers. It's a destination that will transport you to a realm where dreams and reality intertwine, leaving you with memories that will linger in your heart long after your visit.

A nice 700m walk in the bush, but some people were giving up since three is no clear sign showing how much further and the path is quite narrow. I still think that the view worths the walk if you’re fit! Also the car park is at the end of the road, instead of the area just off the main road.

Parked up at Camel Rock Beach carpark and walked along the Murunna Point scenic walk to the lookouts along the way. Very easy to find your way and it was quite quiet when we went late morning. Stunning views along the walk - easily one of highlights of our trip.

Very beautiful rock formation, definitely worth the walk to view from above. It's not easy to get down to the beach, would be very very slippery if wet.
