Hall's Funeral Services

We were initally pleased to have been able to utilise the services of a smaller local business but unfortunately the service deminished once they had their sale.I'll start with the positives:- Their venue has a nice simple yet polished country appeal- The options we were able to select from helped us pull together a service we think dad would have been pleased with.The negatives:- The celebrant they recommended, Scott, did not even manage to get the family name correct and did such a poor job of putting together the eulogy from the points we'd provided him, we had to rewrite the entire thing. We were still expected to pay for his services in full of course.- No disabled toilet available which led to an embarrassing incident for one of our guests- The invoice arrived with an additional charge if $400 if we were to pay after their 2 week deadline. This had never been discussed with us. Thankfully we were able to arrange payment promptly but I feel for those in different circumstances who may receive the not so pleasant surprise.- They took 12 days from the cremation to apply for the death certificate, causing unnecessary delays and costing us financially. The really disappointing part here is they were dishonest when first asked about when they made the application and then simply stopped responding when asked if they intended to make any kind of reparations. There hasn't been so much as an apology.Unfortunately, they're just salesmen and it's disappointing that this is the experience we've had during what is already a difficult time

Beau and his team at Halls were absolutely amazing sending my of my father in law in the most sad but beautiful way. The special celebration of a wonderful life. Their attention to detail from the service to the flowers and also leading up yo the day, everything was just as as it should have been and the way my father in law Bruce would have wanted to leave this earth.Peter the celebrant, what a great soul.So From my family we say thank you and are forever grateful for all that you did and said.Cummings Family xx

Halls funerals are a small family business. Beau and his family were absolutely encredible which leads to why I chose to write this review. We initially like most people went to a large corporation named Abbey's from word of mouth. However after a couple of meetings and seeing this contracts and the prices it left me gasping. I felt initially guilty for even questioning prices, however knew my father was a simple man and would rather see funds go to those in need than a funeral. After making a few phone calls I came across Halls. Beau was soo honest and said things as they were including prices etc. He had a real country charm simple personality about him. The prices as well was literally half of what abbeys were charging... the body was still with Abbeys however Beau helped us and the process to give halls in charge was simple.We decided to go with Halls and it was amazing. Everything was done more and above without extra costs like Abbey's would have done. Dad would have been soo happy. The only thing I would recommend is not to go with the tribute website halls recommends, although they didn't worry when I changed it as it was a third party service and they dont make money on it. Try forevermissed.com. They just charge a monthly fee and does not charge people for putting tributes etc up. I would say to any one looking and reading, give them a call. Speak with Beau and you will know what I'm talking about. Thanks Beau and Team. God Bless you. You made the family very happy.

Beau, Alicia and the entire team at Halls made our day of sending my wife away into the most amazing, special celebration of a wonderful life and is now my proudest day. Their attention to detail from the flowers to the service, everything was just as as it should have been....and Pete the celebrant, what a great soul.
