Abracadabra Childcare Services

From start to finish abracadabra provided a flawless service. We needed a one off babysitter while away for a wedding and after a previous negative experience with an agency babysitter we were very nervous as we hadn’t left our daughter (now 3) with anyone other than family since.Through abracadabra’s thorough intake process, police checks and impeccable communication we were very much reassured. We were then linked in with the most amazing babysitter who our daughter fell in love with. We were able to leave her and go and enjoy ourselves knowing she was in such reliable hands and our daughter was happy. The whole experience was so positive we are now going to use abracadabra to find a more permanent babysitter close to home.Could not recommend more highly!

She kept us well informed of her progress with finding quality candidates over quantity for both casual nannies and After School Carers. She has placed some really lovely carers for our family. 5 Stars!

I do not recommend Abracadabra's services. They found us a nanny who quit shortly after starting. They then attempted to find us someone else, failed to do so and stopped replying to any of our calls or emails for the past month during that search. We have since found our own nanny via other channels (who is wonderful!). If you're thinking about using their services, I'd recommend you go elsewhere.

This company is awful. They couldn't find an ongoing Nanny for us. We waited for 3 weeks. After many calls and falses promises from Felicity, she finally send a perfect" match for my 16 months son. Once the Nanny got our home she spent 3 hours and decided she would not continue her service as she will travel to England and my son was with runny nose .She left a12 hours shift and left a mummy whose just got discharged from the hospital after a back surgery with out support or replacement or notice."

Over the years that I have been involved with Abracadabra Childcare Services and in particular their Director Felicity, I have always been treated with courtesy and compassion. Every aspect of my interactions have been professional with a genuine desire to assist. I know they are incredibly thorough with their recruitment and interviewing processes and make every effort to provide the service that was arranged. The name abracadabra is appropriate, they were able to find a wonderful sitter for us with only a half day’s notice! They were quick with communication, and the carer was great with our kids. We will gladly use again in future!

We needed a sitter in order to attend a wedding in Mudgee. Our sitter was punctual, friendly, confident and managed to get both kids fed and to bed. We returned to a quiet house and both the kids enjoyed spending time with the sitter. Although the experience wasn't cheap ( afternoon into evening at $30 an hour) it was worth it to be able to be a part of the nuptials. I would recommend this service.
