Wing La Cakes

It pains me to leave such a review for Wing La as my 1st birthday cake was from them but I wish to provide my experience to serve as a cautionary tale for both the owner and other customers.I ordered my 3 tiered cream sponge wedding cake from Wing La and my belief was each tier would be transported separately and assembled at the wedding venue. To my surprise, the cake was already assembled and a driver was contracted to deliver it on the day. On the way to the venue, there was an accident and my top tier had collapsed on itself. The driver had attempted to fix the cake however upon delivery and throughout the night, the cake ultimately fell apart.Although embarrassing to us, everyone agreed that this was just not a good look for Wing La. Despite 30 years of cake experience, our wedding cake was treated like any other cake order. As clients, we were treated with such a lack of care and complacency.They did not reach out directly to me to explain on the day nor after the event. It was only until I reached out did I receive an explanation and apology. I did receive a full refund to which I accepted and a free anniversary cake to which I declined.I will never forget this experience so for those thinking about entrusting Wing La with a bit event such as your wedding I advise to do your research and consider other suppliers.

We got a cake for our wedding. And I wanted a very specific design. They did a wonderful job with the cake. The colors are very vibrant and I didn’t want much cream, they made the cake perfect level of cream I want.

I would give it 1 star. Overpriced and terrible quality as I ordered a Durian cake for $60 and the cake was not fresh, most of the durian inside tasted really weird and I had no energy to put a direct feedback to them but here to let the world know that they are doing really bad business now.

Ordered a custom cake with a pretty tight timeframe, WingLa Cakes completed the order with a beautiful durian/fruit cake. Delicious cake and great service. Would recommend.

OMG, such an amazing cake that we had after a very long time. We ordered the cake with them and they delivered it on time and they exceeded my expectations. Moreover, they responded to my messages and questions on time. The taste of the cake was top notch. And it was beautifully designed. All my guests loved the cake and they all gave such positive feedback about the look, texture and the taste. I'm glad I ordered from them and thank you very much for making my little girl's birthday extra special.

When I was younger, all I knew was wing la cakes. Mum use to get all our cakes from here.. years later (literally over 10+) thought we'd reminisce and get dads bday cake here.. nothing has really changed, the store looks dated and hasnt had a face lift, as a kid I remember the cake being pretty tasty and memorable. Family has being getting moist delicious cakes here for decades! Shop may look dated but no where else can you find this type of HK style cake.
