Very beautiful place. However, the scant acknowledgment of the horrific 1901 Skull Hole massacre is disappointing. We can do better.

The stark landscape here is beautiful and real. It is a place you can come to and often have entirely to yourself. The skeletons of old trees and the vastness of the open ground is striking mixed with the remains of an old sheep sheering station and some homesteads. Well into the park you will find a collapsed shelf of rock that creates a sort of canyon hiding green vegetation. This is the real outback.

Open parkland with creeks and deep gullies. Shady camp spots near water. Remote and beautiful.

While the old station house itself was not too memorable (especially if you've already seen larger old station houses such as Camden Station), the drive out on Scrammy road all the way to Scrammy lookout was incredible. The road takes you up onto a seemingly untouched dry mesa. Out of nowhere there is a billabong (Scrammy creek) atop the mesa. There is also the beautiful Scrammy gorge -- no guard rails exist way out here at the top edge of the gorge. A wonderful 'off the beaten path' experience. Atop Scrammy mesa felt about as remote and isolated and 'in the middle of nowhere' as I've ever been.

Poorly signed. Didn’t know where we should be going. But plenty of Roos, wallabies, wallaroos and bird life. The only creeks we came across were dry after driving 30km from town, but we were expecting a lagoon with bird life etc.

A National Park like no other we've experienced. Amazing wildlife, stunning landscapes and a wealth of history. The camping areas are spacious and very tranquil beside a billabong that's for for swimming. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area.
