This was our splurge meal of the trip. And it was totally worth it! You can tell that the dishes are made with quality ingredients and skilled cooking techniques. The porterhouse steak was uniformly medium rare. And sashimi was very fresh. Also, the wait staff were attentive and friendly. It’s more costly to dine here as opposed to other restaurants we have dined at in Tasmania, but no regrets.

Dined here prior to the ghost tour of the historic site.Food was amazing, best steak I've had in years (cooked just the way I like it)

With little choices in the area we made a visit here while staying in the Port arthur area. It was fantastic, the steak was perfectly cooked and so tasty! Also had the octopus and kingfish which was tasty also. Well worth trying

Delicious two course meal before our ghost tour. Pork Belly and Tiramisu inspired dessert. I would definitely recommend dining here.

Food was EXCEPTIONAL.Absolutely delicious. Not a single thing I orderedwas mediocre. The bread: lightly toasted and the perfect combination of crisp-crusty edges and fluffy in the centre that was served with lovely accompaniments of cultured butter and a fine olive oil for dipping. The oysters: FRESH!The vinaigrette they were served with:Perfectly tart but also slightly sweet. The Hiramasa Kingfish Sashimi:So delicately flavoured to really allow the fresh fish to do the talking and it was also stunningly presented (note: it IS Hiramasa, not Haramisa as mentioned on the menu). The Market fish: locally caught Trevalla (literally caught about 300m away) was super tender and perfectly flaky with a beautiful panko crust on the top. Served on a bed of sweet corn purée and fennel + radish salad on the side. Just beautiful.Side dish - Heirloom Tomato and Buffalo Mozarella salad w Basil was an accompaniment that doesn’t really go with what I ordered, but that was my choice to add on and it was positively delicious. Perfectly seasoned. The service:Michael, I think? He was a fantastic waiter. Definitely seemed like he was carrying the team. He was professional and helpful. The other waitress, though: Wow.Very poorly spoken, obtuse, loud, banging cutlery around, speaking and laughing so loudly throughout the dinner service. But particularly toward the end when it was only myself and one other guest left in the venue. Used words like “ma’am” etc which is very proper and great and was attentive at the start. But the manner of conduct in every other way was absolutely irritating and unprofessional. To the point where it made me want to leave earlier. Both that reason and the fact that I was so full from having a several course, delicious and filling meal, contributed to me deciding to not get dessert.Overall, I certainly recommend.Perhaps just bring some ear plugs for the overpowering voice of the waitress.• Nice venue.• Great menu selection (small and curated)• Delicious and original food.• Service was exceptional from one, and even “okay” from the other. But her behaviour when not attending to guests was horrific• Atmosphere would have been great without the obtuse waitress

I loved this place and the food was amazing. There is a view of Port Arthur (see photo) itself while eating your meal which just adds to the atmosphere. There is a Gold chain curtain that sheilds the busy kitchen from full view that just adds to the ambience beautifully.I would have gone back as would our group of 14 if they were open on Sunday night.

Make sure to book ahead as tables are limited. Food was fantastic, staff were attentive and they made sure we were finished in time for our After Dark tour. Windows could have used a clean outside to see out over the Port Arthur site better in the late afternoon sunset, but this was a minor issue in an otherwise lovely dining experience.

Great view with excellent food. We have booked in advance and seat near the window. We could see the castle while enjoying our food. Ordered steak, curry and entry dishes. They were delicious and affordable. If you wish to attend the ghost tour or will stay in surrounding areas for a night. Try this place for your dinner!

Zero star. Disgusting food. We had potato leek soup. The soup had no leek flavour in it and tasted raw potato. Bread too was hard . Chips were not fried enough. As these were not edible we ate egg and salad sandwiches and these too tasted below average.

We had the night tour package which includes dinner. Pork belly was so good that the fat could melt in mouth.
