We were very pleased with the speedy and professional installation of our honeycomb blinds. Moreover, we can now have a good night sleep thanks to excellent advice regarding blockout versus transluscent blinds.

Unenthusiastic staff. No real help offered. Minimum 4 to 6 week wait for product made locally from material sourced from interstate. Uncompetitive pricing. We weren't inspired to take our enquiry any further.

This is the second time we’ve used Factory Blinds & they’ve been brilliant on both occasions. We’ve been very happy with the roller blinds, plantation shutters, curtains & an external roller shutter we purchased. Good quality, a great price & Darren the installer is the best and a top guy. Thanks to Rebecca for great suggestions with our purchases.

I ordered a replacement for my broken kitchen blind in May. I was advised that the wait time may be up to 6 weeks.Several weeks passed and I heard nothing about the blind. I rang to inquire about the progress. The lady I spoke to was not able to find details of my order and advised me that she would get someone else to return my call. Another lady rang later to say that my blind had arrived but was damaged, so had to be returned and remade.Several more weeks passed and still nothing. I again rang to check on progress. I was told the blind had left Queensland on August 4th and should arrive soon. More waiting and another phone call from me to check progress. This time my blind had been lost in transit. At this point, I said if the blind couldn't be installed soon I would like the order cancelled.A lady called Robin then took on the task of having the missing blind reordered, however, it was then found. Robin was very helpful, thank you!Yesterday, (September 4th), the friendly and helpful installation man arrived to fit my blind. I could tell when I saw the 2 blinds in his hand that I had not got what I'd asked for, which was an exact replacement of my original blind (effectively one blind divided into 2, to accommodate a sliding door).The blinds were installed and when open, they look fine. I should have paid closer attention. Later in the day, when I closed the blinds, the signigicant gap between the blinds became obvious. Another phone call will now be required on Monday.Update: I have contacted Robin and again, she was very helpful. I have now also been contacted by Gary, the owner, who was very helpful in resolving the situation. Thank you

I would never recommend this company. I have been waiting two months for a curtain - two months. I was told 6 weeks which was bad enough. So two weeks ago I email the Owner - still no reply. I guess he is off enjoying all the money he is making. Why does he not employ more staff? Disgusting service - no apologies or a discount offered. Owner later believed I was very unreasonable in my complaint so I expect him to somehow defend what he was like if he sees the review.

Blinds ordered and would have been installed seven weeks later before our guests would arrive. On day of installation I texed the store and the agent. No reply. At 10 o'clock I called and had 5 different ladies on the line. Nobody knew about my order. Then the lady who took the messurements called and aksed about the outlay of the room. I knew then that they had forgotten our order and had not even started on it. Finally, after I refused a later delivery, they said it would be installed the next day. A friendly installer came and tried" to hang the blinds. Wrong colour brackets and then ......yes indeed wrong sizes. No apologies but a request of they could hang them next week. And they wanted me to pay te final invoice before hanging. You must be joking after all this.When the friendly man finally came a week later he replaced the brackets and hang the blinds (he re-messured it himself) and they hang perfect and no problem there. Good quality but bad service from the ladies."

Great recent experience here. Good in-store advice, prompt measure & quote, speedy & friendly installation. Blind was Tasmanian made & very reasonably priced.

Excellent service from Admin right through to installation. We had a slight change in our order, and the care to ensure everything was right was excellent!The product itself was beautifully made and fitted well.I would definitely recommend this fantastic local company.

I have been happy with two successful orders of blinds in my Launceston home in the past twelve months. The workmanship is of good quality, the representative who did the measure and quote was helpful, expert and able to provide good advice. In both cases, the men who fitted the blinds were friendly, courteous, capable and clean.I would, therefore, have given a much higher rating to this business if that had been my only contact as a customer.However, I am less than impressed with the very poor service for a recently arranged measurement and quote for a rental property on the East Coast. The date was arranged, weeks in advance, at a mutually suitable time, and required me to travel to Coles Bay for the day, as well as to reject a booking and ensure the house was vacant of guests. The arrangement was for a Monday morning. On the Thursday before, I rang to confirm that there were no difficulties and that the appointment would be kept. I was assured this would happen and that another appointment had been scheduled, later in the day, at St Helen’s. I asked to be informed if the situation changed. The business had my mobile number and email details. I received no call or text or email. On Monday morning, 90 minutes before the scheduled appointment time, I received a call that the appointment would not be happening. When I expressed my distress at not having been informed before I left Launceston, I was informed that the person who was travelling to the East Coast had only informed the office after close of business on Friday. It was then very clear to me that Factory Blinds could have called me on Friday evening, or at any time over the weekend. It chose not to do so. This is, in my view, an unacceptable way to run a business.
