GKR Karate

My daughter has been with GKR since the age of 5 (she is now 12 years old). We are very proud to be part of GKR and karate has helped my daughter with her confidence and with valuable defence skills.

I have been a student with GKR Karate since I was 5 years old. My family train together, our dojo is amazing with fantastic instructors who are caring, have great knowledge for martial arts and treat everyone with respect. I have gained so much confidence and self-discipline from my training.

I'm truly impressed with how fast and how strong kids lurn ,after only a few sessions thanks to a great teachers !

Our family love GKR!! Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. My daughter has been coming for 4 years and always looks forward to her weekly classes and loves competing in the tournaments!! My son started the yogi classes and always has such a fun time! I would highly recommend GKR to anyone and everyone wanting to join!!

My 3 boys started at GKR Glendenning in July 2022, starting off with the school holiday program. They enjoyed it so much we signed them up. Classes are available 7 days a week, even on most public holidays, which is great and works in with other sporting or personal commitments. Although classes are getting larger, there are a number of Sensei’s and Sepai’s to split the classes into grades to work on techniques suitable for their level. My husband ended up re-joining after almost 20 years and can train with our boys or in the more senior classes. The flexibility is great! Opportunities to compete in tournaments too, and training has helped with the boys discipline and confidence. Highly recommend GKR Karate, Sensei Daniel, Sensei Mark and team.

GKR is fantastic! Our family were made to feel welcome and valued immediately on joining. We are neurodivergent and this has been such a safe space, particularly for our autistic child. The instructors are helpful and friendly, making this clean and bright dojo the perfect place for beginners and those experienced in karate alike. Joining GKR has had wonderful physical and mental benefits for our family and I would give more than 5 stars if I could! I'm still smiling from my last training session :)

My both kids are getting trained here. They are improving in their self-discipline, respect and confidence. All Sensei are making martial art fun and inspiring, helping each kid to understand regardless of their belt levels.

Learn about respect, discipline and increase your confidence while developing essential self defence skills. You can test your skills by competing in tournaments and even compete with other local dojos! I highly recommend anyone at any age to join. It’s a rewarding and fun experience!
