Winners of 2017 Pie Fest, Southern Rise Bakery in Moss Vale is worth a visit. The award-winning ‘Bernie’ pie from last year was no longer available during our visit, yet there are plenty of other options to choose from.Southern Rise Bakery has two outlets in Moss Vale (located back to back). The rear entrance is a pit stop for tradies and the main street entrance more a dine-in cafe.We enjoyed a Satay Chicken and a Bacon & Cheese pie. This bakery is amazing, its nice and clean with comfy leather seats to enjoy food. We had a cheese and garlic sausage roll, plain pie, chocolate mud cake, flavoured milk and coke. Prices were great and food was very fresh and flavoursome! They were also nice and hot. The cake was also amazing! Nice big portion at a great price and ill definatly be back next time im in moss vale. Also the lady that served us was very pleasant.

Came here after doing the historic Moss Vale walk on a Sunday. The shop was about the close, but slipped in a quick bite for whatever they had left! Tried the plain mince meat pie and it felt like primary school days. The gravy and meat was well seasoned and the pastry was cohesive. A nice visit and worth another try. Hope to try some of the other varieties in the future.

Bakery shop right outside Moss vale station. Friendly and courteous staff. Good collection of pastry, brownie and bread items. Tea and coffee are available as well. Lots of seating options. Warm interiors during colder days are very soothing.
