Came here to celebrate my wife’s birthday on a Tuesday night.Weird setup were staff are divided over the Thai restaurant next door.Understaffed and non attentive. After waiting over 50 minutes for meals with a hungry child we got up and left.Meals were not flowing out of the kitchen and other disgruntled guests were also asking how long their meals would take to arrive.No mention of a long wait while ordering and no apologies for delay. Zero service even though the table water bottle and glasses were empty.We then read other reviews.......wish we had of done this before sitting down.Avoid this poor excuse of a confused restaurant/takeaway and eat elsewhere.The owner really needs to take heed of other reviews and sort this mess out.

Not too good. Yayas takeaway was $15 more expensive that advertised here. $50 c.f. $35. Two chips was an absolute insult!! The oil soaked cardboard box didn't close properly. Cold by the time I got it (I waited in the shop). The 5 minute walk home meant that the oil had soaked through and the box was disintegrating in the plastic bag. Great way to treat tourists in these times. NOT!!!

The batter was alright, crumb was burnt and the chips were underdone. As for the calamari it was nearly inedible as the crumbs were almost black. It seems like they cook everything for the same legnth of time hense why the batter was good and everything that takes longer to cook then battered fish was underdone whereas everything that doesn't take as much time as batter was overdone. Along with this, you can expect premium prices buying here.

This place definitely needs some recent reviews because they made some important changes. They renewed their menu and made it more of a Greek restaurant which was the right decision cause their food is absolutely delicious! I have ordered now multiple times here and every single dish was just absolutely amazing!! I will keep getting food here for sure! I think they should change their name cause it’s not really a seafood restaurant anymore, more of a Greek restaurant now and you wouldn’t be able to tell until you look at the menu. Getting to that point. There definitely needs to be some changes done that could be accomplished in an afternoon. Really guys get a takeaway menu in your restaurant for locals that like to pick up food from your place. Secondly both menus on your website are not current anymore and when you click on the phone button on there you reach the Thai restaurant next door which is owned by the same bloke. Kinda annoying having to find the right number which can only be found on their Facebook page. Employees tell you to find the menu on the Facebook page which is non existent. The phone number is not mentioned on google and the operating hours are wrong. I really had to consider between 4 and 5 stars due to these issues which can be very easily fixed. However, their food is absolutely fantastic and deserves 5 stars!

Really nice takeaway. The staff are a bit flat but the food came out quickly and was delicious. I had the fish souvlaki which was nice, just enough spice and the chips were also great. Would come back here again absolutely.

Koi is a relaxed takeaway in the main street of Trinity beach that offers the typical deep fried dishes you’d expect. It was nice that they also offered very fresh local caught fish that was very well cooked, really enjoyed the quality of the fish. Suggest getting one of their nice salads and ditching the chips. Chips were very oily and over cooked. They have a few Greek dishes on the menu as well. The staff were very efficient and friendly. Easy meal for anyone staying in the area and worth a try for the fresh fish.

How pathetic the service was pay for the order then quote my name to pick it up go back to sit at the beach to find my meal burger combo missing then walk back up the street see the same lady get my burger go back to find missing 3 tartare sauce go back up the road she argues with the cook go back sit down guess what no calamari rings so up we go to explain again oh I am sorry was the reply by the time I got back burger was now soggy rest half cold great service HARRY won't recommend to anyone what a waste of 70 dollars and by the way chips were undercooked

Paid $40 for fish and chips with fried calamari. The server said 20mins came back to pick it up and eat at home which is 5 minutes around the corner, it was 1 piece of fish with a tiny amount of chips for $21 you'd expect at least a large chips with a piece of fish. the calamari was soggy and distasteful! Such a waste of $40 next time we'll go to Mecca's!

Worst fish and chips I've had for a long time..maybe ever!!Mackerall was overcooked so that the batter was a dark brown colour and left a gaping air hole between batter and fish. Chips were those French fry type and just hot with some old ones that were tasteless and dark brown colour. Also got charged the incorrect amount with the wrong change. The girl who served me was obviously not used to handling cash!! We are semi local so won't be back or recommend. One star because zero is not accepted.

My partner & went to Koi last night & the food was truly amazing. We got fish & chips each, as well as a huge Greek salad side, hummus and olive starters. The flavours were absolutely amazing in all & the serving size was quite generous. Also from when we ordered it only took 30 minutes for all 5 dishes to arrive. Note: I read the earlier reviews & can confirm any kinks other experienced then have been ironed out now.
