School of Rock Perth

I have a shy girl and wasn't sure if this is the way to go to draw her out. The school allowed a trial class and she was happy to return. She's enjoyed going to her classes ever since, particularly the band rehearsals, it sounds like they all have a blast in there every week.I love the performance based approach, with songs children sometimes hear out and about. It gets my 8 yo so excited when she hears a song she has practiced with her band.What surprised me the most was the day of performance; she was reluctant to go in the venue, which is normal for her with new places, but when she saw her band members, off she went with the group and even onto the stage. I have never been so proud of her. Thank you to everyone at School of Rock, particularly Paul and Matt ❤️

When I found out that School of Rock had a program for adults I was very keen to give it a go. It was on my bucket list to play the bass guitar but wasn't sure if I could actually do it. The professionalism and support I've received from the School far exceeded my expectations. The format of having a private lesson and band rehearsal each week leading to a show at the end of each season has provided me with both the incentive to practice and the skills to perform live. It's definitely more fun and relaxing than I anticipated. I've been very impressed with the musical talent of the teachers who I experience as non-judgemental and encouraging. Wholeheartedly recommend the program to anyone who has ever wanted the experience of playing music (or who just wants energising breaks from the weekly grind)!

School of Rock is AMAZING! My two children are both loving it! Learning to play instruments, and playing in a band! To see my very shy little girl play the guitar and stand on stage smiling with her band was incredible! I recommended school of Rock to four of my friends and all their children joined too! We love you guys!

School of Rock has proven to be a very worthy investment of both money and time. My 16 year old son loves attending both his bass guitar lessons and the 3 hour weekly jamming sessions. It’s challenging and enjoyable. He has made friendships with others that have the same drive and passion and it’s a pleasure to see them perform together. … I also love the going to the gigs where they sometimes play the music of my youth …. This gives the kids the appreciation of some of the older and more classic styles of music. Nic and I have the best conversations on our way home from his lessons!! Thank you!!Soppy thought coming …. In a world where there are so many different influences - especially on teenage boys - the School of Rock is a positive experience that encourages healthy friendships, teaches kids about working together, resilience and encourages growth, both in performance and, most importantly, in the personal qualities that we (as parents) try to teach our kids.Thank you so much for all the positive influences that you have on my son - the teachers (and their mentoring), the fostering of the love of different genres of music, the challenges placed on the kids so they can rise to their abilities … and I could go on!Eleni

Kids who learn an instrument with the School of Rock, not only learn to be passionate about music and learning, but they also learn the more important skills of working collaboratively and be goal oriented.The performance at the end of each term is a fantastic goal for them to work towards and put their skills into practice. I couldn't recommend SoR highly enough for all budding musicians!

School of Rock is more than I imagined. The experience for kids is incredible and all staff/teachers treat every single student as a rock star. The teachers are so down to earth and highly professional. Its just an amazing place.

School of Rock is a great place for young musicians who want to share their passion for music. My daughter started quite hesitantly at first as she's very shy. However, her teacher and other staff working there and the senior students have gone out of their way to make her feel welcome. They have all been very supportive and encouraging. She's now always looking forward to her individual lessons and band rehearsals. We're so glad to have found this wonderful, safe environment for our daughter to enjoy her love for music.

Our family is passionate about music, and School of Rock methodology is amazing we had no doubt their values would meet ours. I am excited to see what my daughter will later decide to play (between vocal, guitar, bass, keyboard and drums), having the opportunity to explore and learn at the School everything before she decides which instrument she rather play. And also the great opportunity to play as a group instead of mainly solo like other school or tutors, meeting kids with the same interest and building a great community of rock stars hehe. I would love to join the adult program too (one day!).

Our daughter has really found her place and people at School of Rock. The staff and tutors are fantastic. They meet every student where they are at and include all abilities. We've also appreciated that music practice leads to playing live gigs, so it has become about so much more than sheet music and repetition.

A fantastic environment for anyone that attends. Dom, Claire and the crew have made such a fun and welcoming environment the children don't even realise they are learning because they are having so much fun. As one of the original families of SOR Perth we couldn't be happier with the way our child has developed under the program.
