Aphrodite Art School

I have thoroughly enjoyed two experiences thus far at Aphrodite Art School and I highly recommend! The Great Keppel Island Art and Hike day, as well as the book binding afternoon, were fabulous. I have great memories, plus a lovely bound book, and some water colour art with quite realistic clouds thanks to Jules’ cloud painting tips. Jules is a born teacher and even if you don’t consider yourself arty, she has a way of bringing out your inner creative spark. To quote Travis the skater guy in Clueless, “two thumbs up, great holiday fun.”

Jules' presence and words evoke creativity without restriction. She is free-flowing and it is a pleasure to be in her class space. She provides guidance rather than control of participants, giving support when it's needed and stepping back and giving encouragement and space to explore.Her words of 'you know what to do' when I was having a moment of self-doubt, will stick with me whenever I am in a creative space and I will forever be grateful for that.Jules' authenticity is infectious. It inspires me to want to let go and just be, as I can see that it's possible. Her presence is a gift, and you should make spending time with her a priority.

Wonderful creative space now available to our kids locally. Jules is providing a wonderful guiding path in various artistic avenues leading our little artists on their own journey each week. Would highly recommend, thank you Jules for sharing your passion, enthusiasm and experience to our next generation.

Aphrodite Art School is exactly what CQ was missing! Jules is a beautiful soul who is so passionate about sharing her creativity and helping everyone find their own. I've been to a few classes (hike and paint, book binding and life drawing) and they have all been amazing but also so different. Jules is really knowledgeable on everything she teaches as well so you truly do feel like you're learning from an expert in a fun way! Each experience leaves you feel happy and capable, they're truly empowering no matter your skill level!! Jules creates a beautiful relaxed and safe environmet for you to explore your creative side. I would recommend absolutely any of her workshops with hesitation! You will honestly leave feeling so happy and with something you've created! How amazing!

It had been years since I picked up a paint brush but Jules' hike and paint experience on Keppel Island reminded me that art doesn't have to be perfect for you to enjoy it. I have used my beautiful water colour palette many times since. I will definitely be bringing my child along to the younger age classes as Jules has such an authentic way of helping you explore your creativity.

Jules creates the most welcoming, relaxing and intimate spaces where you can forget about the rest of your day and just focus on creating. She truely makes you feel like an artist even before you put pencil to paper. I can't recommend Aphrodite enough!

The most beautiful and supportive art workshops. I’m not a natural artist so signing up for the drawing workshops was definitely out of my comfort zone. Jules made me feel so comfortable and and inspired. I would recommend her workshops to anyone, no matter your artistic experience!
