A step back in time, great for older people, so many reminders of the age we grew up in. Who could forget Tang orange powder, only barely resembled juice, or coffee and chicory essence, trying hard to taste like coffee. The memories are priceless even if the products of that time weren't. The volunteer staff are really entertaining and complete the experience. The fee to enter is ridiculously cheap, and could be bought on entry.

What a fabulous and interesting place !If You are anywhere even remotely near the Township of Tingha, make the trip to visit.Really worth your time to experience and explore this eclectic museum.Step back in time and see how Australians used to work, shop and live. The volunteers are super friendly and a wealth of information and knowledge. The $4 admission price, would be the best value for money going around.

History In the making. See how things were done in the early 1900's up to the present time. Make time to enjoy a Devonshire tea whilst there.

Without doubt one of the best regional museums my Asian wife and I have visited. Both of us were taken back to our childhoods. The sights and smells are unique and it's a very important part of Australia's early pioneer history. Even two weeks later we still talk about it. It is just something else and the volunteers fill in the gaps and make it such a superb experience. So worthwhile a visit if you're from the 1940s to now. It's just a superb visit right down to the dual pan toilet.

Absolutely a step back in time, wonderfully preserved by dedicated volunteers, fantastic place to stop and spend 30 mins looking around, have a cup of tea or coffee and then look some more.

One of those quirky, eclectic, interesting, local museums that can be found in small towns. Run by long-term resident volunteers, who are very happy to share this collection and answer questions about Tingha history and tin mining. Have a Devonshire tea (probably the best scones I have eaten), really good value and must visit local museum.
