Chair Yogis
I have been taking Chair Yogis classes for over 12 months now and it's made quite a difference to my health and well being. While I am often a bit stiff and sore when I arrive, I always leave with a smile on my face and at least 30cm taller. It's amazing just how good a workout you can have safely sitting in a chair.I totally recommend this to anyone who enjoys stretching and socialising at the same time.

Great classes especially geared for people with mobility problems . Dara is always able to adapt any position for any body . Relaxed , non judgemental group atmosphere and Dara gets the best out of each student . Highly recommended.

After only a couple of months I am really feeling the benefits of these classes. I love that Dara has an online option with three class times offered each week. It is easy to join in from home (or wherever I am) via Zoom. This makes the classes accessible to anyone no matter where they live or if they have other reasons that might prevent them from attending in person. The classes are affordable too with a number of payment options provided. It helps that Dara will modify instructions to cater for a range of joint mobility issues which allows for full participation. I can really feel the benefits in my joint mobility, particularly my hips. Dara provides simple ways to activate core muscles which, for me, has resulted in much less back pain whilst performing household tasks such as sweeping.

When you attend Dara's Chair Yoga class you will receive a very warm, friendly welcome. I recently visited Brisbane for three weeks and was invited by a friend to attend Dara's Chair Yoga class at New Farm. Dara also holds classes at Paddington.I have been practising yoga (on the floor or ground) for 14 years and was surprised to find that everything which is usually done on the floor was covered in the Chair Yoga classes. Dara's class is very comprehensive and includes breathing exercises, a warm up, stretching, balancing, and traditional yoga poses, with a very relaxing Savasana to close the class. I highly recommend anyone thinking of joining a yoga class to try Chair Yoga with Dara, and you will get a good workout. In no time at all, you will build strength, become more flexible and receive the benefit of the relaxation segment. If you are finding it difficult to get up and down from the floor this class is very beneficial for building muscle and flexibility, and a chair is available to hold if you need a little support. I look forward to visiting Brisbane again, and to attending the New Farm Chair Yoga class with this friendly group, who are becoming fitter from attending the class - some attend twice per week.Try something new, you will enjoy it and reap the benefits of yoga!
