I recently visited Worrigee Medical Centre for the third time, and I wanted to share my experience with others. The clinic appears to have a system of booking multiple appointments in a single time slot, which led to me waiting for about 30-45 minutes before seeing the doctor. In addition, I encountered some issues with professionalism among the front desk staff. When I inquired about the wait time after 30 minutes had passed since my scheduled appointment, one staff member responded in a nagging tone, saying that the clinic is busy, it's not the GP's fault for the delay, and that they would call me when they were ready. She also mentioned that emergencies can arise and that the clinic was busy. While she was explaining this, another front desk staff member was laughing and seemed to enjoy her colleague's unprofessional response.Overall, my experience at Worrigee Medical Centre was less than satisfactory due to the long wait times and unprofessional behavior from some of the front desk staff.

It is best if you visit in person to book an appointment as I have often found myself on hold for an average 30 to 50min waiting to speak with a representative". Unfortunately with my work hours I don't have that luxury unless I plan a day off.The clinic itself is clean and staff generally approachable. I have found there is a large turnaround of GPs

Most of the doctors lack empathy with their patients. There is the odd good doctor here but most are shocking. Reception staff are unprofessional. If you call you get put on hold for 45 min. I am young and a mother of 3 young children and experiencing a possible heart condition and they still couldn’t prioritise my care. Ended up getting immediate care from another medical centre.

I have been in Dr. Prasads care at Worrigee medical centre for my first pregnancy and care beyond and cannot fault her. She is so thorough, caring and efficient, I felt in very good hands.

Our family moved to the area nearly 3 years ago & found this practice via the local searches & referrals on social media. We have found the reception team very professional & helpful & Dr Prasad has become our much respected & loved family GP! She’s very attentive & sensitive of your needs & situation. With my extensive & complex medical history Dr Prasad has taken this in her stride & I feel very confident in her abilities. We hope she will be a long standing member of this practice & in our area!

Cannot understand the few negative/angry reviews here - my experience of over 5 years attending Worrigee MC and hundreds of appointments is overwhelmingly positive. From an efficient phone service to the well-informed and polite reception staff, excellent nurses and doctors (mine is the tireless and dedicated Dr Hamut) to the competent staff at the attached pharmacy … all are first-class, none has ever missed a beat. The place is always clean and tidy and yes, to the person griping about the ‘tiny’ car park - usually easy to park within metres (you failed to mention - last couple of years there has been a massive car park, never full, in the shopping centre directly opposite the centre !!).To top it all - in a period of huge stress for the Oz health service - Worrigee continue to bulk-bill !The specialist crew at the adjacent Ryan House also do a great job - and handled each of (for me) four rounds of Covid jabs totally efficiently. If I could leave SIX stars, I would !

I've been coming to this practice for quite a while now, it took time to find the right Doctor for me; but I highly recommend Dr Hamut. It's nice to find a Doctor who knows your medical history and remembers your face when you walk in.My husband, children and parents also see him now.Thank you for consistently providing great care.

As someone who must frequently attend appointments at this medical centre, I'm growing increasingly frustrated by the absence of common knowledge.I would have expected a general practitioner to be knowledgeable about a number of topics, but it is becoming increasingly obvious, there is a deficiency of understanding.I have autism spectrum disorder (a very common disorder). Every time it is mentioned, my mother has always been questioned the next time I have an appointment (with the same doctor) if I have an intellectual disability (which there is no correlation or supporting evidence I would have one). They don't even ask me; it's almost as if the appointment is about me, but I have no part in it! My mother responds that I have a total absence of an intellectual disability. At this point, I'm already feeling somewhat insulted, and yet I let it go because it's possible that they're asking this of everyone with ASD, since they may have learning difficulties or disadvantages. My mother is then handed a paper to sign at the conclusion of the appointment, that I was supposed to sign. As my mother hands the paper to me, it is taken by the doctor, who then looks me dead in the eye and asks me, a 16-year-old girl, if I can read... We have already established that I am in no way impacted by a learning disability and that I am competent; at this point, it feels as if she was trying to insult me because I am autistic. This occurs so frequently that I can no longer ignore it; something has to give.

Running a business, any kind is difficult & has it own unique challenges. The hardest thing is to keep the customer safe & happy, even if they don't understand. These last couple of years would have tested the best of us. I'm so pleased that I have met friendly, helpful professionals from the frontline receptionists, admin staff, cleaning staff, to the nurses and last but not least the lovely Doctors! The amount work, behinds the scenes must be incredible. My wife, kids and I are so thankful to each and everyone at Worrigee Medical Centre. Merry Xmas & Happy New Year. Stay safe too!

I have been a patient of Dr Prasad for a few years at this practice. I have seen more doctors than I can count in my adult life but none even came close to the care I received from Dr Prasad. She is the most attentive, caring and informed dr I’ve come across. She helped treat several chronic illnesses and provided exceptional prenatal & postnatal care during my pregnancy as well as provided excellent advice and guidance for my mental health. I would recommend Dr Prasad to absolutely anyone (and have been doing so for years!). Dr Prasad is an asset to the medical profession.
