We had our wedding reception here in March 2023 with 90 guests. We had had some coffee dates here earlier in our relationship so knew it was a great spot, and wanted to celebrate in a central location that was a part our story together.Jess (Manager) and team did an amazing job during our event planning and on the night as well. They were flexible as our plans evolved and ran things super smoothly so we could focus on enjoying ourselves.Our guests were really impressed with how professional and friendly all of the wait staff were, and with the quality of the food too. The tomato / mozzarella salad and the T-bone steak were particular favourites.We're very confident recommending Dawson to other groups, for smaller brunch / dinner affairs or for your own events.

Great lunch at Dawson. Requested a window table which was perfect for my grandma. Everything tasted delicious and our waiter was very nice and attentive. They had a function upstairs which looked great as well for anyone looking for a small intimate gathering. Beautiful decor as well at Dawson. I wish they had a bigger dessert menu though.

The potato pizza was amazing!! Not overly salty like the pizzas from other places. The rosemary and cheese on the pizza was a perfect accompaniment to the thin slices of Plato. The pizza base was thin and crispy on the outside. Overall great wood fired pizzas!The pasta here is also fantastic, the braised beef ragu was so tender and melting in the mouth, the pasta sauce had great flavour.Fantastic service from the waiters and waitresses, food came out in a timely manner, as it was not busy on a Sunday lunch. Highly recommended!

We have been going to Dawson for years. The food is always great and the standard does not waver from day to day. You can get a booking for 2 people of 8 and the staff are always helpful and friendly. Would recommend for casual dining and family friendly atmosphere. The burrata and flatbread combo is still to die for and the pizzas are very good.

We came here on a whim because of the name, and have absolutely no regrets. The atmosphere was beautiful and the food amazing!The staff working on the night were incredible and accommodating especially when I wanted a selfie with the sign on the door.Will definitely be back!

It’s been a struggle finding authentic Italiano pizza in Melbourne … until I walked into Dawson. Lovely wait staff, groovy feel to the place (even on a week night), and wow are those pizzas made fast! And they’re authentic.

Found this amazing spot for lunch on Good Friday. The staff were so friendly, nice to see the owner helping out as well. The food was amazing! Everything tasted great, pizza was really good and the sweet potato chips were the best. I can't wait to come back and try more food.

A group of 24 ladies enjoyed the feed-me dining experience. The upper mezzanine area was a great place to mingle with a drink before being seated at a beautiful long table. The wait staff were attentive and accommodating, the atmosphere warm and comfortable. Some ladies commented on enjoying the soft/warm lighting. We will definitely be back for our annual event. 5 stars!

Good food and wine in a nice spacious setting. I’ve had most things from their menu and they’re all tasty. The karaage chicken and mac & cheese croquettes are favs. Great place for coffee and lunch too.

Great pizza restaurant in kew, went for a work lunch and an unexpected number of people wanted to come so we hadn't booked but the staff were amazing and so accommodating. We had a table sorted and all had our food and drinks in good time. Very good staff, even though there weren't many they were friendly and handled the influx so well. Pizza was fantastic and the express lunch is such a good deal too!
