Regent Court Chinese Restaurant
When you're traveling through the remote parts of Australia you're not necessarily thinking you'll find the best foods. Especially as a vegetarian. So my delight when finding Regent Court was evident. With a delicious and large menu of options, you can get food for all palettes and dietary requirements. The food is delicious!Service is no fuss and simple. Decor not too different. Also, and somewhat strangely they wouldn't serve tap water though.

Fantastic Chinese place - I'm always a little skeptical going to Chinese restaurants but this was certainly exceeding expectations! We had a variety of dishes, came back 2 more times, one time with a large group. With the large group, it was a little slow to get their attention for ordering as they often only have one waiter serving the whole restaurant. It would be great if the restaurant had water to serve - unfortunately, they only have soft drinks for purchase! We would recommend this place to anyone :)

Witnessed a woman screaming and swearing at the young staff due to her food taking too long, despite tonight being valentine’s day (and extremely busy as a result). The staff (maybe 14 years old) handled the lady extremely well despite her pushing her way behind the counter and causing a scene. Massive thumbs up to the boys for their handling of the situation. The woman had to be asked to leave by the owner and I sincerely hope that she is disgusted and embarrassed by her behaviour tonight.Overall food was amazing and the staff were lovely despite the dramas, always a pleasure to dine here!

This is one of the best chinse food we ever bad in Australia. Very friendly staff walkinf distance in the town. Massive protions. One servce would feed 3/4 people. We had crispy beef in spicy plum sauce and sweet and sour chicke. Highly recommend here to anyone in katherine and its also BYO

The lunch bain marie food is too oily and salty. The dinner was nice, although the price is quite steep, $20-$30 for a small-medium sized dish (2023). The service is so so. They don't have cold water, only bottled water. They don't serve the bowls, cutlery and serviettes, either you need to ask or take it from the bench. The place doesn't feel clean, the carpet has a bit of a smell. But the good thing is that you don't smell oily when you come out of the place, it shows that they have a good ventilation and exhaust in the kitchen .

Although we would normally avoid Australian-Chinese restaurants, in Katherine there were few other options. Unable to get a table on our first night due to it's great popularity, we returned (with a booking) with low expectations and initial amusement at the youth of the school age serving staff.This amusement changed to admiration as we were served with friendliness, interest and a willingness to help.The food arrived quickly and was surprisingly pleasant, with very generous servings. Pretty good for a local restaurant anywhere, and a gem in Katherine with good prices.

I chose this place based on the reviews and happy to have tried this place. Was visiting Katherine with my parents and son. Ordered the braised pork, chicken cashew, vegetarian hokkien and seafood noodle soup. I had the pork dish which I loved and dad really enjoyed his chicken cashew. I give my experience 4 star as mum commented the soup broth needed a little more flavour. The young guy who served us was efficient, kind and accommodating; will visit again when I’m back in Katherine.

Regent Court Chinese Restaurant
Ordered yellow chicken curry and fried rice a number of times in 2021 and it was delicious. Tonight I ordered the same and without a lie it was the worst Chinese I have ever tasted. The curry was not creamy and yellow but brown and greasy, the fried rice was salty and flavourless (unless yuck is a flavour). Never again, disgusting.

Ordered Garlic Prawns well no Garlic prawns when I got home, very poor counter service, white fridge behind register was greasy filth down the edge of door obviously they have no idea about cleaning and keeping a clean restaurant, young guy flicking his hair then putting hands on topside plates ffs. Good luck if you buy.No Garlic prawns in pic. Go have a look for yourself.
