A great place for a walk or jog. Be sure to bring a camera. Hard to believe you're still in Adelaide when it feels so remote and in the country. Be sure to bring good walking shoes, hat and camera. It's a leisurely walk along mostly flat ground. A few more interesting places too worth checking out like this one (refer photos).

There are parking spots off the main road. Loads of walking trails and a creek to cool off in, fabulous spot to take the kids to find tadpoles, and walking your pooches.Good for all levels of fitness.

This is Dry Creek at it's driest, lined with mature gum trees and regulated with boulders and retaining walls. The historic guard towers and fencing are a reminder that this was a prison backyard and the new high fences are visible at distance. The path is tarred and there is way around the flooded fords. Young trees were planted on the floodplain and some of the historic buildings dotting the banks are restored. The abandoned quarries add some dramatic views and display the underlying rock formations.Alternative parking at the Stockade Botanical Park.Edit: Adding some spring photos.

Beautiful trail along Dry Creek. Lots of bird life and lovely gum trees. Nice and quiet away from the main road. Great for dog walking as long as you pick up and carry waste with you as there are no bins. Easy walk. I use a walking stick and had very little issue. They are a few slight slopes but not too bad. There is a car park or you can park in a side street nearby depending where you want to start.

Lovely dog and bike friendly trail. Dog waste bags are available at the beginning of the trail (note there are no bins on the trail). Dogs are allowed off leash between certain hours (after 6pm I think).
