Best hair salon in Sydney, hands down !Showed her the photo of hair style I wanted and delivered exactly !Always meet my expectation whenever I visit and it is so nice to have a hairdresser who knows what you want. I highly recommend whole team, especially Joanne !She is delightful and has amazing skills xx

I have my hair done in HOPI recently and the outcome was fabulous. Jenny is a very patient and good listener, though my description was not precise. I am more than satisfied with the ombré and colour I have had there. Good job and thank you!

Edit - 16/7/20 - I had a haircut recently and I came away looking pretty stupid! The front looked ok, but the back was cut very strange. I look like I have a deformed mullet! Not sure how the girl that cut my hair thought this was a proper style. It is a shame, because I've had decent cuts here before.Previous review-Very good haircut! I went recently for the first time, after having had my hair cut at the same salon for the past 5 years. My girlfriend says I've had the best haircut shes seen on me from HOPI.

High skilled Joanne and other employees but the styling is not consistant.

I rarely write reviews but after my experience I felt compelled to warn people. Avoid at all costs!As a mum of 3 kids under 5, I don’t get a lot of time to myself. So when I booked in for a cut and perm here I was really looking forward to finally getting a much needed pamper.I showed the stylist a photo of the curls and result I wanted and she assured me she understood. After 2.5 hours the curls looked nothing like the photo, but because she did not blow dry it (saying it needed to be air dried - which I found odd but didn’t question) I assumed it would look like the photo when dry. By the time I got home the curls were already disappearing and it was getting very frizzy. By day 2 there were virtually no curls left but my hair was also not my original straight and smooth hair, so it just looked like a frizzy hot mess with random kinks. I tried washing after waiting 2 days and using curling mousse as the stylist advised but the curls simply weren’t holding as soon as the hair dried.I contacted them via email with photos of progress over the 2 days about it and they asked me to come in so they could look at it, stating even if they were to refund me I would need to come in with my card. When I got there it was clear they never had any intention of refunding me, and instead offered to redo the perm then and there. I mentioned this was very difficult for me with 3 young babies/toddlers and I don’t have several hours to spare for them to attempt fixing it. I was also worried it would damage my hair as I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to do back to back perms only 3 days after it had just been done. I asked for a partial refund instead as a compromise as I just couldn’t make the time and they refused, arguing that my hair looked fine and “they don’t refund because they already provided the service”. One of the stylists even accused me of tugging on my hair and deliberately trying to straighten it to get a refund. I was mortified they implied I was lying to get some money back - beyond rude.They think everyone has time to just go to the salon for hours and hours for them to stuff around with their hair. I was so insulted by my last interaction with them, especially when they implied I was lying. They clearly don’t care about their clients.
