Terrific lunch today sitting street side at the Goolwa Hotel.Michelle was very friendly and helpful taking our order. We chose to sit outside with our small dogs.Excellent pub food and we all enjoyed the ambience watching people in the street pass by as we enjoyed our meals.

Still my favorite place to take friends for a good value meal in Goolwa.Sunday 2 course roast, soup or dessert is always a winner currently for $18!Plus for the price, you have access to a range of delicious salads, bread and hot vegetables.Staff always friendly and accommodating for an special little requests.There isn't a play area for little kids but they do cater well food wise for them.

Good food. Good people. Every time! Cold beer and it can be alcohol free.In the main street, the renowned Goolwa Hotel always will satisfy.Its cliental are regulars. They're regular for good reasons.

I ate here last night with my family and we had a show to see across the road after dinner at 7pm. We waited 30 minutes for our food and it came to us at 6.50pm and one of my friends meals was incorrect (the lady who took the order didn’t put the right meal through) my friend had to order another meal which then pushed us back and made us late for the show and she had to order something that came out quickly which she didn’t want. You should have given her a refund! The waitress said ‘I understand but there’s nothing i can do’ My friend had to eat her food sooo quick and it was a meal she didn’t even want due to your screw up! Terrible customer service that is!! Won’t be back!!

Myself and a mate had the Barramundi. The barra was cooked okay. The chicken pea salad could have had more dressing. Very dry. My partner had the roast of the day. Your staff need to be more informed if a roast is fresh or reheated. Any roast sliced on a slicing machine is not appealing to the eye. But he did say there was plenty of gravy, be it over salty from a bucket powder gravy but it was tolerable.

Disappointed with the seafood baskets my husband and I ordered and got charged $6 for a side of aioli! Potato bake was just wedges with sauce and cheese on top and the seafood was quite greasy. We both felt sick afterwards. Will not go back there again.

Squid and chicken stroganoff were decent, burger was appalling, and oysters were slimy and not fresh, so we left them. Staff of the restaurant were barely civil while the bar staff were ever so friendly.Totally agree with a previous reviewer that if this is what locals consider to be a 4.3* joint, that they need to get out more. Avoid avoid avoid.

We usually head here for a lunch when we come down the south coast. The price for mains on the special board are fantastic. As you get the salad bar included.The kids meals are so cute and come in a boat!DIY drinks up at the bar.The lighting could be a bit brighter, as it was quite dim inside.My guests had the T-bone steak and they said it was delicious and exactly medium rare as they ordered. ✅My wife said the battered fish had a lot of flavour as well. ✅We will be regulars for awhile to come!

Worst service and food I have ever had served to me !Beyond disgusted in the service and attitude from staff .I have never been spoken to in that way by a waitress before !My son dropped his pizza on the floor and so we ordered another because we couldn’t order chips apparently due to potato shortage , leaving us having to order an entire kids meal again .After waiting close to 2 hours for his second pizza we got it and it had holes in it , it was soggy and disgusting I wouldn’t let him eat it , I’ve never seen anything like it ..I questioned the the state of the food served to my son to which I was replied ‘that’s karma’Apparently because my mother didn’t order a main meal instead having 2 entrees they decided to give us some karma by serving my 5yo an inedible meal ! Because she’s following policy apparently !
