Mt Quincan Crater Retreat

I stayed at Mt Quincan Resort for three nights. They were the most relaxing of my entire life. Firstly I arrived to the welcoming smile of Kerry who gave me fresh muffins made by Barb and got me checked in. Walking into my cabin was fantastic. It was fully stocked with three days breakfast to cook at my leisure, had wonderful music playing and was immaculately presented.Living that close to nature was also amazing. The rainforest surrounds your cabin and provides complete privacy. Furthermore, the wildlife includes birds, wallabies and tree kangaroos who are all too friendly. We had a possum living on our balcony for two nights which was the icing on the cake.I'd recommend this as a honeymoon spot or romantic retreat. Thanks again Kerry and Barb.

One of the most special places we have ever stayed. Stunning views, the most comfortable beds, double spa baths, wood heaters, beautiful scenery, great hosts, interesting wildlife, stunning night skies.....From the moment you arrive and are greeted with smiles and cake to walking into the tree house with wonderful soothing music you feel pampered and special. If you are looking for a romantic getaway with comfort and privacy this is the place.

Amazing!! We loved our stay here as part of our honeymoon in North QLD. Perfect blend of nature and luxury and we wish we had longer here. Outdoor shower was epic, great value, lovely staff, and the welcome scones and bread were delicious. Will definitely return in the future

Highly recommend staying here. The cabins are beyond amazing set high of the ground with amazing views. Built on the side of a crater with loads of wildlife. Truely amazing will be hard to forget. The staff member the checked us in was very nice and informative. I would definitely stay there again.

We absolutely adored it here for our babymoon getaway. Gorgeous views and extremely quiet and very relaxing. The only thing that made the experience not so pleasant was that we had seen a snake sliver in our room via a hole in the wall where cables ran, which did cause us to have a restless first night's sleep until we could try to locate the snake. The staff were very helpful the following day and tried to find the snake but could not. We attempted to block the whole we saw the snake sliver out of with some firewood, but later that night, we heard a thump, then we saw TWO snakes fall out of the sliding door cavity close by. They seemed to be mating, then luckily slivered out underneath the front door, and then we blocked it with a towel.Other than that, we absolutely loved this place and will definitely return.

Truly unique location, breakfast and in-room dining options were all very nice tasty.The ‘natural air conditioning’ did work for us in the evenings, however during the hot days not so much. The crater summit walk was fabulous and offers amazing star viewing if the descent in the dark doesn’t scare you. It does feel ‘away’ from things but is actually very close to town.However, this is not a cheap place and it has the word ‘luxury’ all over the website. And that’s were it falls short. The furnishings feels outdated in quite some areas (bathroom, toilet). No WiFi. It also promised laundry facilities, but the dryer was missing and the laundry machine itself housed a family of mice. Which allowed for a nice picture :) obviously nobody had checked it for a long time. It is a nice place, but in my opinion it tries to oversell itself a bit.

Great place to stay nice and private right in the middle of the Bush. Luxurious cabins and well separated so quite private. Lots of wild life including a family of Lumholtz Tree Kangaroos. Good walks and plenty of places to visit in the area. Some of the wild life isn't so wild and likes to share dinner.
