Unfortunately just had a disappointing experience with Metro Movers - took them 11 (yes, eleven) hours to move a 2 bedroom + study houseload 1.5km down the road. This was in stark contrast to the 3 hours it took for them to move us there 4 months ago. Won’t be using them again.

We have used MetroMovers in the past and had a good experience, so returned to them again. We have been thoroughly appalled by our experience this time, and cannot believe how they have chosen to deal with it. We asked for wardrobe boxes which weren't supplied on the day. Not a big deal, but a disappointing start and more packing for us to be done after move day. Three movers came with two trucks, which was more than was needed for our small apartment; we'd said this at the time of booking. One mover and one truck went elsewhere, but when it came to time for payment, they tried to charge us for all three people and both trucks. We called head office and this was resolved with our price revised. We then found minor damage to a number of items with scratches and dents - we called MetroMovers then emailed them pictures. It's taken weeks and multiple repeat phone calls and emails to get any response, and then they passed our details directly to the contractors who did the actual move. We had a number of emails from the contractors insisting on personally visiting our property - in Melbourne in a pandemic - to inspect the damage because they insist that they took good care and clearly don't think there is any damage. One of the items that was damaged was dropped in front of us, so that's a bold claim. We escalated this back to MetroMovers and got an apology for the first time in the entire process, over a month after moving house. They then advised us that their no damage" guarantee essentially doesn't guarantee against damage and that we should make a claim with our personal insurance

Stay away at any cost! They caused serious damages to the property. While this was acknowledged by their own removalists on the day, the managers ignored my emails and phone calls since then. They did not even bother responding to my complaint. This company simply don’t want to hear from you if there is a problem and blatantly dodges responsibility. The poorest customer service ever!

We have used MetroMovers as needed over the past decade. Never, ever again. We booked two trucks with a crew of five for a relatively small relocation from Ringwood to the CBD. To say they were uncoordinated and hopeless is a gross understatement. The job was a total disaster and then, having dismantled various items of furniture, they argued it wasn't their job to put it back together. The most incredibly expensive and frustrating move ever!

Absolutely terrible experience. I originally booked for move between Langwarrin and St Kilda East with a scheduled pick up between 9:00am and 12pm. I was quoted with $177 per hour, with an $89 call out fee, minimum 2 hours and costs incurred at 15min intervals.I received a call at 8:40am from a driver called who informed me that I could expect them in 30 minutes. At 10:45am no one had shown up, at which point I called back to see what was happening. He informed me that they were called to assist with another job and would be delayed. He did not provide a time. I eventually received an update via text message stating that the job would take a few hours and that the drivers would not arrive until after lunch.At this point I called Metro Movers and was told that my situation was being passed onto operations and they would get back to me. I called back after another hour with no indication of the move and managed to speak to the salesman who initially booked the move. He was very helpful in trying to ascertain what had gone wrong , and soon after I received a call from the driver saying they were going to arrive in 1 hour 45 minutes.At this point I was frustrated and requested to know why my booking wasn’t prioritised. The driver was flustered, aggressive, proceeded to threaten to walk away from my booking, swore about the fact that there were no drivers available, and complained audibly about the situation. This was not what I expected to encounter when booking a moving service. After a brief discussion, he stated they would be on their way.At 3:45pm the truck arrived, although the driver I spoke to was not part of the team. The truck after being instructed to park in the driveway proceeded to hit the drainpipe of the house and damage it. This house belongs to my parents who were away at this point, and reimbursement for the damaged drain is requested.The movers completed the task, although there was some damage to the paint on the rails of the apartment building in St Kilda East. The manner in which items were packed was not as the website described, much less care was taken than promised.The final straw came when I received the invoice for the move which totalled $1976.25, much more than the quote I was provided. The job was signed at the beginning of the day at 8:45am and signed off at 6:26pm. In the following two weeks since the move there has been no attempt to fix the miscalculation and over charge, and responses to emails take days to be responded to.TLDR: Use anyone but Metro Movers

I shopped around a lot for Removalists . Metro movers won me over initially as the most straight forward and honest with their quotes that caused me zero anxiety. I got alternative quotes that were triple what they quoted me so that was good. The service i received was fantastic. The 2 gentlemen ; Fernando and Adriano that moved us were fantastic. Dedicated and zero time wasted. Their work ethic was a pleasant surprise from how they parked their truck at my old and new addresses to how they treated me and my wife. Just an overall good experience

We had our things in storage with metro movers (after a straight forward move into storage) and then Jonathan and Adnan were very efficient in bringing the stores goods to our new property for unloading. Very helpful and professional. Would recommend!!

No damage to any items which my partner was so happy about. I highly recommend this company and I also highly recommend you ask forJonathas and Leandro if you want professional movers. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you again.

Previously we had used Man in a Van and thought this time we would use a more reputable company. That was a mistake.While the movers were polite, two of the three movers did not understand or follow instructions well. Their capability as movers was lacking via either inexperience or lack of training. Never have I seen a crab-walk shuffle down a hallway with two chairs until they arrived. The most inefficient way of moving something I have seen.We had blood on our washing machine and dryer, dents on the dryer and scuff marks on the new washing machine. Further to that, they put the dryer on top of the washing machine and forgot to remove the transit bars from the machine so I had to undo their work and fix it myself. They also chipped the outdoor bricks when taking a pot plant outside using a trolley.The customer service response was poor and reimbursement for inconvenience caused was unacceptable. Similar to the previous review, they made it seem as though we should have been supervising.Never again would I use them. Man in a Van has a vote in my book.
