Byfield Cabins

It's not often you find a place that not only meets your expectations but exceeds them. Byfeild cabins complete exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect couples weekend escape. The cabins are absolutely stunning, well equipped and clean. The whole place shows the love and attention that roz and gaz have put I to it. Byfeild cabins is deffinatly a place we will be visiting frequently.A massive WELL DONE and THANK YOU!!

Amazing bush retreat. The cabin was well appointed and our host Roz and Garry made us feel very welcome. Beautiful sculptures and artwork in the cabin. Tranquil setting with only bush noises to enjoy. Attention to detail was great, they even leave insect spray out on the bush walks should you need it! We enjoyed the free bikes and kayaks. This is the place if you want to recharge your batteries" and experience the bush in luxury."

Finding Byfield Cabins has been such a stroke of luck. This place is incredible. We stayed in the Emu Cabin for 3 nights and it was fantastic. The tropical gardens, the attention to detail, the cleanliness, the huge log cabin, all the extras, the big comfy bed. Rainforest walks, kayaking, wildlife, birdlife, the games area where you can kick your hubby’s butt at pool or darts or any of the many games, the plunge pool etc etc etc. They really have a special place here. So glad we found it. I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed. And the owners are lovely!

Quiet and peaceful. Amazing cabins, beautifully furnished with lots of special touches from the owners, who are lovely.Great at night sitting under the stars with the fire pit. Went kayaking, cycling and walking. There is also a great games area. The attention to detail is superb, with the place well kept with quirky aspects about the place. Perfect place for couples who want to getaway and enjoy the quiet outdoors and stay in a beautiful setting.Highly recommend and will definitely return.

We loved our stay. The cabins are rustic (so we did get the occasional insect come under the door) but they are so perfectly situated in a beautiful bush setting and there is so much attention to detail to make sure you enjoy your stay. Things like: a little esky with ice brick, a thermos, tea, coffee, plastic wine glasses to take outside, board games, CDs, DVDs, comfortable couch with throw rug, plenty of firewood, newspaper, kindling mossie coils, cute little signs on the walks. We stayed for three nights and were using Byfield Cabins as a base to explore the National Park and surrounds. I am glad we had enough time in our schedule to make use of the provided kayaks to explore Water Park Creek, to sit out in the hammock chairs with a glass of wine to watch the bird life and have a fire in our private fire pit in the evening. The kitchen is basic (fry pan and microwave) but has all the utensils you could need, oil, salt, pepper and paper towel and a full-size fridge. There is also large outdoor BBQ which we used to cook each night. It was a very peaceful, relaxing stay in beautiful surrounds.

We had an amazing stay, the emu cabin was so beautiful, lots of cool knick knacks around that made it fun to look around, bbq, hammocks, big shower and spa bath, walking tracks, kayaking, bikes, a HUGE games area with a pool. Had so much fun and cant wait to stay again.

Everything that Rose K said.Absolutely beautiful cabins. The perfect getaway/retreat for couples. No kids, pets or visitors. So quiet and serene and private from the other 3 cabins.I just wish we had have stayed longer. We will definitely be back!

Best place to relax and unwind for couples.Just a short drive from Yeppoon is this gem of a place. This is my 2nd time. I have travelled overseas so this 5 star rating is a proper 5 stars for the experience. The cabins are rustic and just so cute. I love the little details. The bathroom is awesome. The owners have thought of everything. There are no ovens but they have an electric frypan/roaster, microwave and large fridge. You don't have to pack salt, pepper or even paper towel. There is a BBQ and we made burgers then roasted marshmallows on the campfire. There are little walks which have humorous signage. Look out for lizards, spiders, bush turkeys and wallabies. It is the bush so close the cabin doors during the day from flies and put on the coils for mozzies at night. They have supplied insect sprays and coils too. The paddle in Water Park Creek is so relaxing and easy. Navigating around the fallen trees is fun. There is even an esky in the room. You could set out with morning or afternoon tea. Listen to the wildlife and the quiet. Tips: Make sure you do build a campfire and sit under the stars. In winter it gets cold so pack lots of warm clothes. Also pack another set so you don't sleep in your clothes that will smell like campfire. We will definitely be back. :D

this place is TRULY AMAZING!my partner surprised me with a weekend getaway here, and it seriously ticked all of the boxes!Cabins are fully furnished with a kitchen, amazing spa bathroom, dining room, car port, everything is all there that you need.. they even supply two bikes to ride around on!Kayaks are available along the creek, so don’t hesitate to jump on them to enjoy the views up and down stream.Thank you to the lovely owners for our beautifulstay, your time and effort put into this retreat doesn’t go unseen!Remy and Torri x

Hosts Roslyn and Gary provide all the creature comforts you will need for your stay in Queensland’s best kept secret. Seriously this place should appear on Getaway! Beautifully decorated cabins, canoes, bikes, a well equiped games room and fire pits and so handy to Byfield National Park. Very clean, peaceful and well kept grounds and cabins. The hosts go out of their way to provide all you will ever need for a weekend or a week. I would give Byfield Cabins 6 out of 5 if I could. RegardsPeter G
