Build A Bear Workshop

Staff member that helped us was so patient and great with kids. 2 yr old had a ball running around and picking his own teddy. Set me back $60. Teddies are priced well it’s the clothes that add up but everything is priced clearly and there are way cheaper options than what he picked. Was a great time though and the teddy is really good quality and will hopefully last for a very long time

My first time at Build-a-Bear Workshop in Surfers Paradise (I usually go to Pacific Fair, but its under renovations). It was a really large open store, and even on a weekday was really quite busy. I came to get my furry Gizmo, and the staff were just so lovely. It was -abundantly- clear the Gizmo was for me and not for a child, but they didn’t judge and were so sweet about it. They even went out the back to find a fresh Gizmo sound effect player to put into him.If only all people were so sweet and accepting of ‘big kids’ who still like plushies.

Had fabulous time today. Our host was super sweet with our kids, friendly and made conversation with us. Would totally recommend. The bears are georgeous and huge selection to choose from. It is a pity there is only one staff member on at once as there are only so many people one person can serve at once.

Team member Cheyenne was so helpful and sweet when helping us build our hello kitty bear with love during a very busy rush! Lots of jokes and a lovely atmosphere, highly recommend! ❤️

We had a really anti climax experience here on Wednesday. We were ready to spend money on our kids and our experience was very deflating. We were not greeted at the door or even welcomed when we walked in. My son chose his bear and we stood by the stuffer machine for about 7 minutes with the staff member looking over at us multiple times, while folding clothes. We had to ask her when she was ready to come over.I have previously worked at build a bear before in London and know what the experience should be like. She didn’t get him to do anything with the heart, didn’t offer us a take home box or any sounds ect.Disappointed to say the least especially knowing what other stores and workers do for the kids.

Went in with a friend earlier today to build a bear as a Valentine’s Day present for my partner. Was given a beautiful greeting as soon as we walked through the door. Mikyla was so friendly and helpful throughout our entire bear building process. She was also so kind and patient with the very young girl who was making her bear before us which we thought was so sweet. She laughed with us about my bears name which I will admit he does have a pretty weird name and she let me go on about how it’s from my boyfriends favourite show and she even recommended us a sushi restaurant when my friend said she was craving sushi. Will definitely be back and will hope that Mikyla is there again when we return. 10/10 experience.

Served by a lovely lady named Mikyla on valentines that went above and beyond! But I feel this place needs to atleast have a min of 2 staff on through the day, with the upstairs play area, greeting an helping customers, stuffing machine, keeping the store clean and the registers it's to much for one person and would put to much stress on staff. So I feel the management could do better with how many staff they put on.

The staff member who worked on Monday afternoon scared the living soul out of my daughter. She sounded like a robot and told her to rub the hart of the frog she got on her cheeks and all over her body… she’s like an NCP should consider her role at build a bear, surfers Paradise
