This was a very informative and interesting tour. Only a small group, but guided through with detail and fun facts by Mac. Who had plenty of time for questions and answers along the way. Starting in the Tasman Hotel/bar in Williams St, crossing over to the Brewery site and taking us through to packaging!Finishing back at the Bar with some sample tastes was very good indeed, no photos were allowed inside the Brewery but got a couple at museum site instead. The Pizza special at the bar was perfect (and tasty) for the two of us to share.

Booked a tour. The guide was passionate and engaging, good sense of humour and attentive. The walk around their facility really gives you perspective of the volume, and explanation of the production was interesting. Tasting included showcased Tasmania exclusive beers so if you're from the mainland take a 6-pack home if you really like what you taste.Only thing, read your booking email!! Because I ended up walking to their admin building on the side of the block because of the signs on the actual facility doors. Go to their pub/storefront for the tour because their signage for the tour was lacking (their guide acknowledged this and explained this has been an ongoing issue).

We have been meaning to go on the tour for a while now, and so glad we booked. The tour guide (Claire) was very knowledgeable and made the factory tour fun and exciting. The tour and museum gave such a rich history of the brewery and Launceston! We were so engaged by the atmosphere and staff that we stayed on after the tour for a beer and pizza dinner. Great flavours! We thoroughly recommend the James Boags Experience (tour) for locals and tourists alike.

What an interesting tour! Corey was a wonderful, fun and informative guide. The history of Boag’s spans a number of generations and I wonder what Mr Boag would have thought of the old place now!Sad fact: Now that Boag’s is owned by a large multi-national that shall remain nameless, much of the experimentation, innovation and creativity is having to be stifled.I highly recommend this tour, not least because there are some great beer tastings at its conclusion.

A must to do whilst in Launceston. Charlie gave us a very informative and entertaining tour, briefing us on the history of the company as well as the current operation of the company which is on a very large scale, unfortunately no cameras allowed. Had some nice beer tasting afterwards and i also stayed back for lunch. And the free museum inside is worth a look as well.

Great tour with a very interesting and knowledgeable guide. The history of the brewery is fascinating as was information about the actual brewing process. Our tour was on a Sunday, so the brewery wasn't actually in action, so we were shown a video of the packaging process instead.A finish off with beer sampling was the best! We also ordered a very tasty pizza for lunch, which was a good end to the morning.
