Great piece of history, but shame the sand hills are covering it and in a few years even gone.I had abit of trouble getting there as I am a little disabled, but I was determined. I couldn't get to the jetty as it was about a km over more sandhills .

It's a pitty there does not appear any upkeep of this historical site. The sand is engulfing it.

Worth a look around if you are in Eucla. It's nearly buried so might not be visible for much longer. Only four kilometres down an unsealed road that is in good condition. You can walk out to the old jetty from here.

Nice historical structure, well worth the walk through the sand dunes, gives us the opportunity to imagine what life they have been through

More exposed now than 20 years ago! Last time we saw the chimneys and top of the walls. It's awesome to see all the different rooms and how big the building was. Lots of little animal tracks - how good would it be to be there at night to see what animals the tracks belong too
