Such a surprise to discover this amazing museum and gallery. We had a private tour by Bushy White an ex miner and artist. Great dioramas displaying the mining history. Bushy artwork is made from crushed minerals. Definitely worth a visit.

If you visit Broken Hill, you must see this place.Kevin and Betty White have poured their heart in creating this museum. Their in-depth knowledge about mining at Broken Hill and the history of Broken Hill is impressive and they explain it with passion.Kevin's unique paintings made with minerals and Betty's lovely dolls are a treat for adults and kids alike. You will understand why and how mining at Broken Hill was so significant when you hear them explain the whole thing.

Informative tour. Lots to see in a small space. Amazing mineral artworks of Broken Hills history that are made locally. Lots of affordable raw mineral specimens and loads of sparkling gems for the kids too.

Number 1 - it is not closed. This is an amazing place. The art work is brilliant. There is a wonderful guided tour from a former miner explaining his mate’s work which includes a series of dioramas showing the development of mining since the 1800s. These are works of art in their own right. Then there are the mine displays, how the artist crushed local rock (24 different ones) and created the pieces which are mainly local historical buildings and mining scenes. There’s also his wife’s work of doll collecting and dressing - all absolutely brilliant to see. Well worth it.

What a lovely place to visit filled with so much mining history and artifacts from a bygone day, which wasn't that long ago. Very informative Lady owner sorry can't remember her name. Beautiful original artwork for sale at great prices plus a host of other local gear on sale. In my opinion a must go to place. Entrance fee $7.50 but what value for money.
