I opened an account with BTC Markets June 2021.Part of the Bitcoin that I purchased I 'invested' into something that I later found out was a scam.Not proud that I got conned (by a relative!) but there you are.Beyond all of that I had a residual Bitcoin balance still in my BTC Markets account.I recently converted that Bitcoin into AUD and sought to withdraw it.BTC Markets have disabled my withdrawals because I invested some of my Bitcoin unwisely with something that turned out to be a scam.The only person that lost $ was me - I own that.That said, the residual balance in My BTC Markets account is mine, and BTC Markets have no lawful grounds upon which to withhold my money.Beware of doing business with BTC Markets.They can withhold your $ without needing any legal grounds to do so.Reports are now lodged with various authorities - ASIC and ACCC Scamwatch and Police.Be careful!

I’ve transacted with BTC markets since 2017 and they have progressively improved over time. Many delays that are referenced in other reviews relate to the originating banks. I don’t normally leave reviews but I’m impressed with BTC’s security and communications. Do not hesitate to use this company for your cryptocurrency needs

I have been scammed and all my life savings for my children's future has been totally wiped. I was told that I would be able to withdraw whenever I pleased but I am still waiting and it has been months and months of nothingBTC market dot whatever you want to mask your business" with is all the same. All scammers. Call me and let's chat and send my money back and I'll take my review done"

The verification process prevented BTCM from getting five stars. I was on an older phone and had 30 blurry image errors in a row forcing me to use a large magnifying glass to get a good enough photo of my drivers license, however I was able to get verified with just a drivers license. Only sending small amounts of $AUD to start with and have been able to withdraw small amounts of cryto to my own wallets successfully. I haven't had to contact BTCM yet and hoping I never will.
