Iconic skate park with a lot of history that should be maintained. But Manly deserves a new world class skatepark to compete and keep up. With other councils. Manly a big skatepark with lots of transition.

It has a lot of history in videos, and across action sports, and for that locals love it and want it preserved, however I’m not a fan. With a council which basically prints money from tourism, it’s pretty underwhelming that it’s the only option for skaters given the shear amount of good modern skateparks in other councils now. The park was recently resurfaced, but it’s already chipping away, and that resurfacing was overdue by a decade. Not a lot of effort from Manly council. Sad to see such a big council lagging behind others. Monavale should be an example for all councils to follow.
