Richard was absolutely fantastic when I bought my car in a few months ago he called me in to show me the part and what was wrong with it. I was so much more informed of the issue and what’s steps it would take to fix the car and upon completing the work it has been great. I went in for a pink slip which was completely promptly and with a friendly smile. Couldn’t ask for a better mechanic that really cares about customers and believe that knowledge is power and shares it with everyone.

Richard is genuinely the most loyal and trustworthy mechanic, I've been visiting him since his workshop was in Cooks Hill and can't recommend him more. He's taken the time to teach me things about my own car and is extremely up front if he believes something is un necessary or crucial to the longevity of a vehicle. My sister and partner now visit him and have said the same thing. A good old fashioned motor mechanic who performs quality work for a reasonable price!

I was passing through Newcastle to get to my work place destination 6 hours away when my Jeep Cherokee needed a water pump replacement. With most mechanics closed close after new years and Jeep Specialists not taking new customers for up to a month, Richard was able to do diagnostics the following day. I was not promised a miracle but assured diagnostics would be done by end of day. With my deadline closing in to get to work within two days which was a weekend I had nearly lost all hope.I received a call an hour before closing the day of drop off and my car was repaired and received helpful input on how to maintain my vehicle for longevity given how old it was. I highly rate this automotive mechanic. Helpful, efficient and super polite and price efficient given my urgency.There needs to be more places like this one. Way to go!

Richard is an incredibly friendly and professional mechanic. We travel 45 mins to get our car serviced with Richard and it is 100% worth the drive - reliable, affordable, experienced and trustworthy. Highly recommend this mechanic!

Homeboy Richard is a hard working fellow.This guy is consistent and commited to his trade. You can rock up anytime for a pink slip w/o a booking and he is open every Saturday morning as well. I live in hamo and it is no brainer to head to this place for all car things.

Incompetent at best, i had sump plug fall out while driving after service. Wheel fall off after brake replacement. I'd steer clear and find a good mechanic.

Went in for a blue slip to transfer rego and unfortunately had a poor experience. Nice guys, but three main issues meant I had to leave this review:- they got the VIN wrong on the blue slip so I had to return to get it redone- then they also didn’t put the rego/VIN on the brake test, so I had to return to them again- on the initial blue slip they said it would be 30-60 mins so I went to a nearby cafe to wait and when I returned well over an hour later they still hadn’t started it and said come back in another 30 mins. I was happy to leave the car all day, but they said it would be quick, which just ended up being more hassle.In the end a simple blue slip required three visits to them and a lot of extra time, so I can’t recommend.

Can not recommend Richard enough! Managed to get me in and fix up my car in a time when I couldn’t be without it, highly recommend!
