Pacific Hotel

This is an iconic hotel standing on a cliff overlooking the ocean. It has fantastic views. There is a very large range of beers on tap including some very enjoyable local and other craft beers. The hotel is quite old and is looking just a little tired. One disadvantage of the hotel's beautiful location is that it is a pretty arduous walk up a steep hill from the town. The service when I visited was very good.

We had lunch during school holidays and enjoyed our time at the Pacific. We decided to get there early 11:30am to secure a table near the window … as they don’t take bookings during holidays. The views were spectacular and food was good.... the food wait times once you order are at least an hour … so it feels like a day out! If you’ve got plenty of time and want a leisurely lunch, looking out across the ocean… this is the place!

No doubt this place has fantastic views… but unfortunately the food is overpriced and over cooked !We had scollops (over cooked) and steak (over cooked) ,plus it took nearly an hour to come out. Not coming back for the food.Bar staff were friendly and made great cocktails !

4 older guys enjoying a fishing trip to Yamba were happily picked up from our location by the courtesy bus . Enjoyed several cold beers and the crumbed lamb cutlets caught our attention on the specials board and were not disappointed. What an excellent meal comprising 2 delicious and tender lamb cutlets and accompanied by fresh brand, broccoli and mashed potatoes drizzled with a tasty home made gravy. Definitely recommend!

Didn’t stay at the hotel but went to the pub for dinner.The website is deceiving - it’s a pub, much like a surf club vibe, but much more dated. They have amazing views but the place could use some updates.The food was mediocre and quite expensive. My husband’s steak was terrible - I actually felt bad for him - terrible cut and way undercooked.The staff did say they were busy and there would be a delay for the food, which was fine… an hour of waiting for uncooked food was a bit disappointing, to say the least.I think if you’re just looking for a place to have a drink and nice views it’s the spot for you.

Beautiful position on top of the hill with mind blowing views. Great cold beer at a good price. Nice staff. We didn't eat lunch there as it was too expensive.

Unbelievable views. Good friendly service. Good pub food. It's old and a little run down but that adds to the atmosphere.

Being locals and semi- locals my family have been eating at the Pacific for years, the meal always something to look forward to, and it has always delivered until the last few times we’ve been. Had lunch there today. Our visitor’s burger was basically a cold bun comprising two fairly tasteless, cold meat patties clearly well pre- cooked with a cheese slice, tomato and lettuce. Poles apart from the food we’ve talked up to our friend for so long. The other two meals only marginally better. The lamb shank was served up not much differently to a hospital meal. So disappointing, especially as the meals are not cheap. Service was fine as always, despite an unusually long wait given it wasn’t very busy. The tavern is looking good.
