Galore Hill Lookout

A very good place for a walk or barby. Good views and a push-button barby in a nice stone shelter. A high lookout as well. Worth a look.

The lookout was fantastic with a great view of the surrounding countryside the access road in is very rough. There are no distance markers to say how far it is from the main road along the rough track to the lookout. There are under cover tables and bench for a picnic. The toilet facilities were locked. The outside brick dunnies were prehistoric - the ghost of Dan Morgan wouldn't use them. There was no water in the tank off the seated covered area. The steel lookout tower was very wobbly as the steel cross brace were not tight. The local authority should hang their heads in shame as it appears no up keep has been done on the lookout area in years.

Gas bbq under shelter. Room for wood fires if you're not in fire restrictions. Don't need a 4wd to get there. Plenty of tracks and caves to explore. You can see for miles from the lookout. The odd wallaby hops thru now and again.

A great place for a medium difficulty walk in the bush. BBQ was out of gas when we were there now both times. Just come prepared.

I visited Galore Hill Lookout and was blown away by the beauty of it all. The canola fields surrounding the lookout provided a stunning backdrop, and the 360 views from the tower were absolutely breathtaking. What I really appreciate is that it's easy to access with sealed roads, as well as around 6klms of gravel road. Highly recommended!

Great venue with magnificent views of the surrounding farming district.Toilets and BBQ facilities are clean and functional. Garbage bins had plenty of space proving the local council is proactive in looking after the site.Access road is a little rough but ok for a normal car.

Beautiful spot and great facilities like the BBQ and tables and chairs. Lots of space. The lookout is really good but a little scary if you don't like heights. The walks are clearly marked and interesting to learn the colonial history of the area.

A must to go place in mid-September. Amazingly expanse of green and gold.
