being a bit of a knife nerd / pocket knife collector this 1 day course was just brilliant. Rowan was very patient with my knife questions/rants, and very knowledgeable on the entire knife making process. i felt safe during the entire workshop, and i think he struck a good balance between helping out / doing some things for us and also letting us find our way, not an easy task especially considering time constraints and my rambling. extremely insightful and rewarding to have made my own knife. would highly recommend to anyone for themselves or a gift (as was my case) with any interest in knives or making things in general. mans oldest tool, those waters run deep.

My brother and I did the two day course and had such a great time. Rowan is a patient and knowledgeable teacher and showed us so many useful things. Each step of the way was well planned out and it was great to see the knife slowly develop into something truly beautiful. Making the knife was a lot of fun, but also being taught how to sharpen knives was so useful and will be a skill we will now use our whole lives. We highly recommend this course!

More fun than a ball-pit" full of puppies! Rowan is a terrific tutor and runs a forge/workshop that is both rustic and beautifully neat all at the same time. As a long-term fan of Forged In Fire I'd been keen to try my hand at knife making and was given Rowsaan's one-day course as a present. It certainly didn't disappoint. Only two participants means I got almost one-on-one attention and help and I came away with real-world knowledge of how to sharpen my own knives at home
