Stone Bridge Wines Cellar Door

This was the best cellar door we visited for the day. The two owners were really great easygoing people and that's what made this place stand out. They have a brilliant outdoor dining area and my little brothers enjoyed playing with their dogs. Thanks for the great experience!

The owner ruined this cellar door for us!Went there on a busy public holiday, tried a few of their wines and decided to stay for lunch. When we went to order pizzas we were rudely told by the owner Lisa no wine no pizza. We explained that 2 in our party of 4 were driving and we weren't going to order a bottle of wine for 2 people. We explained we were planning on buying some on the way out to take home. She gave us a dirty look and said that as long as we were buying wine at the end it was okay and told the staff member to ensure we purchased some at the end. We were absolutely disgusted by this behaviour.After this some of us decided that we no longer were going to buy bottles to take home due to how rude the owner was. She seemed to be of the belief that because we tasted a few of their range that we had to buy alcoholic drinks. We would have rather paid a nominal tasting fee than be treat like this.All the other staff were friendly and helpful.The pizza is handmade and cooked in a wood fire pizza. Not really traditional pizzas, but tastes decent. Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the wines (they weren't really to my taste), but other members of our group did. For us the rude service really ruined the atmosphere. If you're in Clare Valley there are plenty of other cafes and restaurants that have equally as good food (or better) and the service will probably be much better

A shout out to 'Thommo' the winemaker who supplied us with a fantastic tasting dozen covering their recent years and varieties with a few special selections. The unlabeled Riesling is fantastic with a beautiful fruity nose, full taste and very clean finish. Wish I had more.

The worst cellar door service in Clare Valley. Arrived 2 min before opening to be told can we come back later. Came back 2 days later for a tasting and were asked to decide on all the white wines we wanted to try as she only wanted to make one trip to the fridge, which was a couple of meters away...we were the only couple tasting as well.$5 tasting fee per person. Which is only refunded per bottle if you buy, so useless if you buy 1 bottle between 2 people. The tasting sizes are tiny. Every winery in the Clare which offered free tasting poured at least 3 times the amount.

Fantastic winery. Excellent wines, delicious wood oven pizzas and a relaxed atmosphere perfect for spending an afternoon enjoying good times with family and friends. The service has always been friendly and welcoming and there is a beautiful seating area with green lawn and a shady tree for relaxing under. Do yourself a favour and drop by.

Called in last Thursday the 7th Jan 2021, as we had driven passed the day before, after closing time, so decided to call in the next day.So glad we did as the tasting was great and was made to feel very welcome by the owners.Bought a couple of bottles as the Cab Malbec was just super smooth.Thank you and we will be back, maybe to try a pizza or two.

Absolutely amazing! Craig was lovely and we had such a fabulous experience. Our puppy got the chance to run around and play with the other dogs, while we sat in the sun and drank. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Please come and enjoy it as much as we did!

Unfortunately, this place is not family friendly. There were very hot open fires that were very easy for kids to burn themselves on, an unmuzzled greyhound (friendly, but illegal in SA), and a very snappy border collie (belonged to staff) who will eventually bite a small child. We had to leave....

Fantastic wine and pizza. Wines are top shelf and the pizzas are top point. Great for a Sunday lunch but bookings are essential.
