Radio Hill Lookout Newman

Beautiful lookout of the town. BBQ facilities and seating area.

Great view of Newman, and a few wild flowers from the area a good breeze wile looking around.

If your in or around Newman give this a look .... at night the lights of the town look good and some good sunrises and sunsets .... on the top and drive down you may notice the bhp operations all across the northern view , and after being through karajini and noticed all the exploration sites I suspect in 20 years they will be mining in karajini ..... one wonders if the destruction is worth it .... you will see the constant trains of ore heading for port headland and over seas and if you spend any time in newman you will see the little bhp has done in return for destroying the landscape and billions in profit ......As a nation multinationals do nothing for this great country and a recent project I read about regarding a train to queensland and shipping coal from there and ore from newman with smelting plants either side makes a lot of sence and would do so much more for the area than sending profits to chyna and elsewhere .....

This isn't really the peak of Newman, would had been better if they located the BBQ and relaxation point away from the comms tower but guess its free and easier for the local government to take advantage of the mining companies work.

You can see the entire town from the lookout. Great view. BBQs available for public use.

Great views can see the whole town and you can get some beautiful Sunsets at the right time

Great place for a lunch or smoko break at one of the convenient covered picnic tables or a BBQ, however the BBQs would be better served if they also were covered. Gives a quick panoramic overall view of Newman with the industrial, recreational and housing and accommodation layouts.

I really like the short scenic drive to the top of radio Hill. Everytime I've met some fantastic local characters. Highly recommended for the view and locals

Hike up the north side in 10 minutes if you wanna take it super slow. Plenty of cool plants and wildlife around if you move slow and enjoy the nature. Great little area a three minute walk from the Caltex. Great views of the town and surrounding areas on a clear day. Picnic tables up top. Parking lot if you can't/don't want to hike up. Sunset is great. As usual, flies are bad, so wear a net if that bothers you.

Found an old thong, one sock and a pair of undies. Nice view though, looked good with the full moon coming up
