South Coast Bus

South Coast Taxi's were disrespectful and unorganised when handling a booking for 15 teenagers needing 2 maxi taxis, made 4 days in advance. They did not notify us that they had decided to cancel our booking - leaving us with no way of getting home 2 hours from Melbourne - with pathetic reasons and unorganised staff. After contacting them ourselves! We were rudely hung up on and told to figure it out ourselves, ignoring their duty of care. South Coat Taxi's behaviour was disgusting.

Despite booking 2 maxi taxis a week in advance, we were told that the taxis were unable to collect us 15 minutes after the taxis were due to arrive- through contact that was initiated by our party. The 15 of us were left to figure out how to get home from Venus Bay as the taxis were to be the connection to the last bus of the day (leaving from inverloch). An hour after the initial taxis were due to arrive, the replacement taxis arrived at no discounted expense, and as we had to get 4 taxis as opposed to 2 maxi taxis the total for the 15 minute trip was absurdly expensive. We were then left in Inverloch as the management team refused to let their drivers take us to another bus in Wonthaggi (where the taxis would then drive to in order to return home). The drivers were extremely supportive and tried to help us find a way home, the only reason that I am giving this company 1 star!Acted without any regard for consequences, will never consider their services again.

Booked over phone a day in advance. Took several calls to get booking right. Apparently online better? We received a text when driver was on his way. We had several drops with a maxi and he was fantastic. Will use this service again.

Disgusting service… took our booking and confirmed then never turned up left us out in the rain. It took 3 phone calls to be told the taxi company refused our booking because it was too short a trip. The company deserves to lose their taxi licence.. so much for supporting local businesses and tourism

If I could give them zero stars I Ward taxi turned up 40 minutes late after four phone calls to a call centre that was rude and unhelpful a taxi Stanko smoke the driver was really shabby and rude taxi had a terrible vibration I believe it may have been unroadworthy don’t use of their terrible

It's a tough one because the drivers are amazing but the company itself is run absolutely horrible. The drivers have great knowledge of the local area but again the people at the base have no knowledge or understanding of the local area. wouldn't mind the old cab companies back again

The school bus is required to stop at the Surf Beach store and drop off school children in the afternoon approx 4.10 pm at that bus stop.However SEVEN times this year alone the so called bus driver forgets to stop here and sails past the stop?He obviously is not concentrating on the driving responsibility he has.The location itself is huge you cannot miss or mistake the stop/location however he does on a continual basis?Where is the management,control?

Driver didn't turn up on time, even though we booked two days before and were outside on time. There was no one to speak to for support and when we eventually got a lift the driver was unbelievably unprofessional, incredibly rude, verbally abusive and drove dangerously the whole way. There needs to be some competition for this company on the island so they can address their customer service.

If I could give less than 1 star I would!Absolutely atrocious!! It took them so long to find our initial location. We then booked through them again and they couldn’t even find our booking! It really is a pity there are no other options available in the area, because their service was awful. We pre-booked and they were nearly an hour late!!At no point was there any communication of the process we could expect, and we missed over half of our booking.In a time where covid is rampant, and meal sittings are so strict, to miss half of the sitting time due to an acceptably late taxi is just not bloody good enough.Pick a deso driver and drive yourselves, much better off than using this ridiculous service.

Awful company, their drivers are unprofessional and rude and still made us pay when we waited in the cold in the Dark at 2am for 2 hours waiting for a bus to take us 10km. When he came and picked up other customers, refused us as perfectly mannered well paying customers, he kindly told us at 1am to take a 20 minute walk and we should be home". Anyone want to know the cab registration number I made a note and a complaint and the company still did nothing to amend their awful staff and their awful system. Incredibly dissatisfied. DO NOT rely on this company doing their job."
