You Studios Photography

The price is unappectable. DO NOT believe the voucher. Everybody can get that voucher, you are NOT special at all. The only thing the voucher include is one hour of photo shooting time plus one small photo. So we asked for the unedited photos which I thought they should be free (as included in the voucher) but they cost us $1000.They kept telling me how good their studio are, but it was only a white background and nothing else being provided.

Overall, had a good experience. The photography session did go well, the photographer was lovely and was very patient with my dog. Had my viewing session today which was pleasant. The photos were really nice and the man (forgot his name!) was very welcoming and polite, and not pushy about packages, etc. However, I can see judging by the reviews quite a lot of people have won the $500 gift card, which is how I found out about the place. It’s clear to me it’s essentially a gimmick to get you in there so you can spend more on top of the gift card. But, I am still glad I went and had the shoot as I did have a good experience. Polite people who to me are pretty good at what they do.

Misrepresentation has a limit. Won 2 vouchers and I was told that this includes photography and photos in a frame of my choice - went and did the photography - 2 sessions one during pregnancy and the other with the bub - time to see photos we go in very excited - get told that unless you buy a bigger frame ranging between 1000 to 1900 approx we won’t be getting all of the pictures then some pictures were also missing 1 we express our discomfort with this as all of this was not explained to us - then we come to an agreement that we will get a frame for about 1200 or so subject to these guys agreeing to providing all photos in edited form and he also offered to add in another small frame so 2 small frames x 1 large frame paid for x edited photos - sounds like a deal? we agree shook hands paid 50% - - we went to pick the frame today and get told no no no we don’t do that - and assuming we were dealing with the Owner he had the audacity to assume I am from India and I don’t know how things work here. His solution to our problem - I will speak to my delegate and ensure he explains things properly. BUT WHAT ABOUT NOW? We purchased the frame on the representation that the picture given to us ALLL OF THEM will be edited - this can be seen in the notes we gave him that I am sure they will not refuse ever existed but this is misleading and deceptive conduct. I will certainly ensure I get to the bottom of this but leaving this review before anyone else falls into this trap!Even the frames for the smaller photos are in black when we asked for white - today we find out oh we do not even do white frames. How are we supposed to know at the time of ordering when your guy did not explain things and made a commitment that you didn’t fulfil. End!For everyone who has gone through this and consider they were not given the full picture from the start please consider reporting this place to ACCC. Thank you

Don't fall for the free offers they send.I was offered a free photography session worth $500 that they said they are giving away this to me cuz i scanned their qr at baby expo.You get this offer, go get photos done (drive there and spend few hours), handed in a pricing leaflet which does not give you clear pricing, how much you pay for how many photos (printed, framed or soft copies).You are bound to two days only for viewing session good luck if you are working those days.You wan to know pricing (for soft copies) over the phone, they dont tell you the price over the phone not even rough estimate.DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR FREE OFFER CALLS.Two stars only for the photographers.

This seems similar to the photo studio scams that were popular in my country, where they offered to take pictures with free voucher coupons, but in order to receive the photos, they demanded a larger payment. Feeling sorry for their family who participated, they had no choice but to pay a larger sum for the big frame and photo expenses.I told my wife to cancel this. You need to be careful with the reviews.

Had a free photo session here a couple of weeks ago with the family, the reason I’m writing this review is due to us being served by Mary. She did a excellent job and her professionalism really shined as she was able to get it all done whilst keeping my very loud and energetic kids at bay, she even pulled out the rubber chicken to help reduce the ruckus my kids were creating. I give Mary 10/10 for her professional, calm, friendly and caring service.

After seeing A current affair on Gap studios it reminded me of this business I dealt with. In 2019 we “won” some photoshoot dog competition thing from a dog event. We took the photos in late August 2019 and about a month later called in to review the photos. We were surprised that they were charging us thousands of dollars for photos and pushing us to get a frame. Like I didn’t care for the frame but they really pushed it on us. They did a slideshow, used emotions etc to get us to say yes. I thought it was ridiculous but my felt bad and wanted to pay for it. We didn’t get a chance to speak to each other in the room alone before making a decision. So for about two years we were in debt paying back for the photos. Now I love the photos but the memories of the experience isn’t great. Looking at them of me and my dog just gives me stress and anxiety.Business like these are terrible. I am also a photographer and have done work for clients. You don’t need to scam people to make money. You want a good experience so customers will come back. If you are researching for a photography don’t go here. Since this experience I have been to two other places and for one of them paid less $500 for an amazing experience and photo shoot and much more photos than I got here. Don’t go here or anywhere else where scamming and playing at people emotions is how they earn their money.

This studio provided me with such a wonderful experience. I won a voucher valued at $500 which included a one hour photoshoot with a brilliant photographer Reanin! It also included a design session and a framed photo of my choice. The design session was ran by Brendan who was very friendly and made me feel comfortable with choosing some more photos to purchase. There was no pressure to pay too much and he guided me through the whole session and made me feel very excited about photography. I left feel really appreciated and wanting to come back. I highly recommend this place!

Attended with my hubby and 4 kids and we had the best time there. First the call was informative and the lady on the phone was very clear about what I had received, a free photography portrait session valued at $500. Then the stylist called me the week before our appointment and I was able to find out about what we had to bring along. When we arrived at the studio we were greeted with warmth and great friendly personalities. Our photographer (Sabrina and an older lady who I forgot her name) were amazing they made us laugh and forget about the time spent in the studio. My 2 boys loved it and my hubby was not stressed out at all. (He hates photos) we where directed that we would have to come back the following week to look at the photos and we met with Brendan, he was very friendly and upfront with what we where getting with the Gift Card we got, and the prices of their beautiful frames. Hubby didn’t want to spend anymore then the gift card, we have been to other studios and I can tell you that these guys don’t force you to buy anything and make you feel that it’s ok to walk away with your free gift. But the photographers did such a great job that we ended leaving with a bigger framed piece that didn’t cost an arm or a leg. You Studio is hands down the best studio we have gone to and we have been to a lot. I highly recommend them for your next family photo.

Scary business. Entered the “draw” at a baby expo and “won” a $500 voucher. Received a call to book a session. Rejected after reading all those related comments and also the studio location is 2-hour from our place. Received at least 6 more calls from different number starting with both 02 and 04 to book us in…
