Calico Court Motel

if i could give negative stars i would.we booked this hotel as we were rushing to find somewhere to stay, encounted by a friendly man, except once we entered we were terribly disgusted.the horrible and weird stains everywhere (towels, bedding, couch, chairs and walls), the hair all over the bed that wasnt ours, the outdated furniture, the bathroom was newly renovated except the toilet had more pressure than the shower ( u could pee harder than the pressure of the shower) , definitely in need of fresh paint and new doors + curtains, and the loud voices outside were uninviting.i wish we could of gotten a refund, this place is revolting!

A wonderful establishment, safe, quiet and very comfortable with all you may need provided. Welcoming and helpful staff made my stay the most pleasant to date in tweed. Great value for money. Thank you to management for making my stay simple, safe and enjoyable. Highly recommend for peaceful stay. A very big thank you to Maureen for helping me secure accomodation last minute!

I was very disappointed with my stay. Not usually one to write reviews but due to the poor lack of contact information and calling the hotel 12 times for no answer I have had to resort to this. My friend and I had found shattered glass on both the bedside tables as well as finding shards of glass in the bed sheets. Was told that room was freshly cleaned but then found hair in the sink of the bathroom.

Room was clean and bed comfortable. There is a toaster and microwave but be warned, there is only a tspoon and just 2 cups and 2 small glasses, so BYO cutlery and crockery. For the price it is barely acceptable.

Motel ok for what we wanted. Very little service out of hours, but good in work hours.Microwave old and not working well, but able to warm food. One side of bed was falling down causing sleep problems for problematic back.

We visited to watch the Gold Coast Suns play at Metricon (now Heritage Bank) Stadium.This is a really good quality hotel for the price. Location is very central (bus stop only 300m away) and service is really friendly and helpful.Daniel was particularly brilliant, as I didn't want to sleep in the same bed as my (adult-sized) teen, so he organised a very comfy foldout bed.The bathroom is actually almost too good for the room - very snazzy.Air-conditioning works fine (very important for us Mexicans form Melbourne)Cozy, compact and surprisingly quiet overnight. If planning on sleeping during the day, bring earplugs, as it's right on the road. The blockout curtains were pleasantly effective too :)Can be a little challenging to get through on the phone, but persist and he will answer eventually.Perfect for 1-2 night stays!Go Suns!

I was a little concerned when I was reading the other reviews, but it was cheap and I was only staying one night so I booked it. And I was pleasantly surprised. Reception was friendly, the room was clean, new aircon, the pool was very well maintained.

Since staying at this Motel in August recently this year, I have been quite sick with allergies. When arriving to check our room found mould on the mattresses, and curtains plus very dusty. Very outdated curtains and furniture broken , bedside tables and wooden door that covered fridge. Bathroom was clean but cockroaches around. Another male from other room annoyed us , during our stay which wasn’t pleasant. This Motel needs thoroughly checked in all rooms regarding health an safety. Over priced as well for 1 night.

Good location. Reception super friendly. Room clean and comfortable.

Cockroaches. Lots of tiny cockroaches.Mini fridge was turned off and towels inside it soaked with melted water.No wifi available or phone reception, unless you stand right next to the window. Very, very outdated decor and furniture, which was charming until I saw the cockroaches. Bed Linen and towels are stained and off white.The bathroom is modern and spacious, and the owner is lovely. This place is not worth the price.
