TAFE NSW - Design Centre Enmore

I am studying Illustration here and I love it. Great teachers and staff, and great students too.

Amazing place if your into a course with a design, graphics, jewellery making, illustrating, set design, sfx make up, interior designing, and costuming. Definately a good start for any design student

I have done a digital illustration course with Nelson, he is a great tutor! He spent extra time with the students and he is extremely talented! Would recommend anyone who is interested in the illustration for the course. Thank you Nelson, you are great, I learnt a lot from you!

Relatively easy to get around once your 'in'. People are friendly, cafeteria; student association has fridge and TV + lounge area; library does do colour printing (for free atm) and the shop (can be useful for misc stuff related to your design course). I am enrolled in Design Fundamentals Cert III.

Great teachers, willing to help and assist where can. Student Association staff, great customer service also. Variety of healthy canteen food. Art supply Store on the premises is amazing with the lady very informative and helpful also. Easy to travel by public transport with major shopping hub down the street Marrickville Metro.

Amazing learning centre with modern facilities. All aspects of design covered in the courses. It looks like a great place to study. I can't wait! Easy to get to on public transport as well.

Would I ever recommend Enmore as a place to study? If you could cherry pick teachers like James and Chris and let them design their own course yes, but in it’s current form no. The curriculum does not get you job ready. The teachers go dramatically worse as you went further into the course. We had an amazing CAD teacher who explained everything so concisely year 1 and year 2 a teacher who arrived late, spoke about his career for the first half of class then ran out of time to help anyone in the second half. The same teacher inquired if my friend have a learning disability because she didn’t understand him and she ended up needed to hire tutors because he was so impatient and he’d leave u behind if u missed a step. One of our cert IV teachers had to go off course to teach us about vignettes and styling beds because it wasn’t in the certificate IV interior decoration course!? I mean that makes no sense, but drawing swirls and stick designs for 10 weeks, that was in there. All in all a few amazing teachers carrying a tired, uninspired course that teaches very little practical skills
