The Sugar Mill Cafe
Dropped by for a local pie. The al's beef shiraz pie was flaky and light with a scrummy shiraz gravy filling. Great for a snack to keep you going as a little on the small side which was suprising for the price paid. Coffee was wonderfully the perfect temperature. Really convenient location being inside the front of a shopping centre. We really liked sitting on the front benches reading the local paper and looking out the window and watching the snow fall. Worth a return visit to try a different pie!

I’ve been a customer of the Sugar Mill Café for several years now, today I was surprised & disappointed. I had a Lamb & Rosemary pie for lunch. The filling was just warm (as I checked when I was leaving) & mushy! The base was soggy & oily. I’m usually one who enjoys the cakes there, but thought I’d try a pie for a change. I always love the Campos Coffee & did again today.

I ordered a large lemon meringue pie for my son's birthday. It looked incredible and tasted even better! The guests were very impressed. Also included a chocolate plague with a birthday message on it. I'll definitely be back. Thank you!

Unbelievable that this café is still forcing customers to use disposable single use coffee cups. They must be so lazy they cannot be bothered washing up. This is appalling and disgusting wastefulness. Also makes no sense in terms of covid as they serve the food with metal cutlery anyway...!

The coffee was good but different rules for different people, not happy. We were told they only use take away cups for dining in then served another patron with a proper mug. When questioned said he was one of the owners. 'So he would make the rules but not abide by them.' It doesn't feel like the customer is important. He also didn't sign in on entry.

A regular customer who enjoys their gluten free selection. When I came into the store their gluten free products were in direct contact with their gluten products when I privately reached out about my concerns it was ignored. Just be mindful if you are a coeliac but if not enjoy.
