Fish is a good thickness, where a lot of other places are half the thickness. Better is very light and crisp, rather than the traditional crunch. I did find it goes softer sooner if you don't eat right away, but very pleasant and not oily feeling. Batter also contains some herbs in for flavour.Seasoning is very light. Asked for chicken salt and vinegar, but could not taste either at all. They do have a station to top up yourself if you prefer, but unfortunately i had it take away, so i could not add more.

Large fish and chips portion at an affordable price. The fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The owner was kind enough to treat us to squid rings which was extremely fresh.Five stars for food and service!

Stopped here and picked up take out fish and chips on way to a tribute Beatles concert. Sat on the South Bank opposite Perth City which was 3 minutes drive from the takeaway. The fish was lovely in a very nice crispy batter. Chips were fresh, firm and tasty. Highly recommended chippy!

Where do I start? Their batter is nice and light, fish is firm and not sloppy, great quality, great service (staff & owners are professional and down to earth). To top it off their portion and price is excellent — the way it should be!Definitely some of the best fish & chips place I know! We are glad to have them as our local. Can’t recommend them enough.

Very delicious fish and chips. We ate hear for the first time tonight and had the meal for two and some bronze whaler. Batter crunchy, not too thick and chips very nicely cooked. So good guys, loved our F&C from you.

Our fish and prawns were freshly fried upon order! Crispy on the outside yet so tender, flaky (fish)/ juicy (prawns) on the inside! You could taste the freshness with every bite against the crunchy batter!Plus, amazing hospitality!!!Would definitely love to return on our next visit to Perth!

The fish tacos are the best I have ever had. Season crumbed andmade with RED EMPEROR!!!!The batter is crispy and not oily at all. The large Squid rings literally melt in your mouth. Fish is fresh and chips are the best.Options for grilled and Japanese crumb across the menu. Friendly staff on top as well. Love having this fish and chip shop as our new regular go to.I highly highly highly recommend South Perth Fish and chips....But don't believe me... try it for yourselves.

This family run fish and chips shop is probably the best I had in town. As I am not a fan of thick batter, the fish and chips here offer a flavourful, crunchy and yet light batter. We had two different ways for our order, grilled and fried. They were both good! (I mean really scrumptious, i literally LOVE the fried one) The grilled one had a touch of lemon myrtle, goes very well with their fresh fish. We also ordered a side of seafood chowder, which I will say it's good for cold nights. Will come back again whenever possible.

Excellent service, excellent serving sizes on the large and regular. Reasonable prices. Could have done with a bit more salt but I added my own. Quality of fish was excellent. Quality of batter was light and crispy.I would suggest that most people that ask for salt want the salt to be quite strong like traditional UK fish and chips.
