This is a great place to stay with a large group of people (3 bedroom + sleepout cottage). We stayed with family (19 people) and it kept everyone comfortable. Plenty of beds (lots of bunks) for everyone. Basic shower and toilet facilities. Good sized kitchen/fenced yard and laundry. Everyone enjoyed strolls along the beach, lighthouse and surrounding bush area. Playground about 600m away. Plenty of wildlife and fishing to enjoy. No tv, but that's why you go with a large group of people (just chill and relax). Will do it again.

Perfect spot for freecamping. $10 a night, take a pen with you to fill in details,it's a $174 fine not to,so do the right thing....Oh,and had a pod of dolphins swim right by us this morning, totally worth the visit.

Lovely spot with gorgeous views. Renting the lighthouse cottages is an excellent way to spend a dive trip during cuttlefish season. This is my third year running a trip with The Dive Shack at Point Lowly and it gets better every year! Excellent way to enjoy a winter weekend away and see some really unique creatures interacting.

Interesting part of local history's oddities with the lighthouse heightening in 1909, it's decommissioning by AMSA in 1993 and the takeover by Whyalla council in 1995.

It was a nice experience coming to point lowly lighthouse. The view is nice with a rocky beach. It is a good idea to bring a few friends to come here to have a relaxed afternoon if you live close by. Also good for the tourists, but the maintainance can be better to attract more tourists. I noticed that the red sign under the lighthouse was broken and after a long time no one come to fix it. I also think it is a nice spot for photos because there are not too many people, not too crowded compared to other tourist places.
