Great view.Wall is perfect height.Ideal hole lower down for short people to see view.True highlight is Toast the bulldog. The ideal complement to SA's best wines.This is the best winery in SA.With the best reds.

Truly fantastic experience. We were recommended this fine winery by a friend and I can see why! Lovely relaxed setting, beautiful views, friendly and knowledgable staff who just love sharing their passion for the wine they make. Wine was really really good; enjoyed the Grenache and Shiraz the most but it was all delicious! Took my dad and brother for a tasting there (before they returned to the UK later that day) and it was one of the highlights of their trip to SA. The only shame was that we couldn’t spend more time there! We will be recommending this place to all our friends!

You cannot go to the area without having had a visit this small vinery. Overlooking the National Park, the vines and wine maker must have decided to make the best of the best. I know that collection in countries as far away as as Switzerland, Belgian and the UK have prized wines from this location.

Such a good winery. Staff are very knowledgeable and laid back. Grab a spot to enjoy the view across the gorge, and the staff find you to offer your next tasting. They also allow you to bring your own lunch/ food. Take your own picnic blanket as there is a good grassed area if the tables are taken. The wine is nice, they are $40 a bottle, but you will be happy to pay this for the quality, and the service. Atmosphere is good, with people coming and going, and as it is a smaller winery you don't get the coaches full of people. (While we were there anyway...)

We had an amazing cellar door experience with the crew at Samuel's Gorge. Great staff, great wines and super dog friendly!It was the very first stop on our SA wine trip and they set the benchmark high - the wine and cellar door experience we compared all others too.

I've been visiting the cellar door regularly over the years, a fantastic place to sit and enjoy the brilliant wines produced by the team at Samuel's gorge. Predominantly a red wine producer, making delicious lighter reds. I didn't see any food menus, however this just gives you an excuse to dine in one of the many renowned eateries in the district. Cannot recommend coming here enough.
