Cullen Bay Day Spa - I can barely put into words how horrified and blown away we have been by their absolutely terrible customer service and genuinely appalling approach to new potential clientele.I advise anyone looking at them for a service to go anywhere else. It'll be far better then to deal with the staff and management's disgustingly egotistical lack of customer service.I also recommend reading the more negative reviews, and especially the responses from their management or the owner. Obviously they cannot take accountability for poor service and mismanagement, and I doubt they’re going to learn from any criticism.Just avoid them. It’s not worth it, and you’ll be wasting time and money on subpar services.

I was given 2 vouchers for this day spa after just moving to Darwin and went in to use the massage voucher late last year but got lost finding the place so called up to let them know I was running about 5/10 minutes late and the lady on the phone was very short and rude.. i hate being late and so was feeling very flustered and distressed when I got there, excited be relaxed.. the lady who was supposedly the manager did not greet me kindly, she was very rude and made me feel like an inconvenience.. after she did the test with the essential oils she was very belittling and pretty much made it out like I was a bad human, telling me all the things I should be improving on in life, not approaching it softly at all.. I literally was in tears whilst getting a massage and could not believe the way this woman had spoken to me.. absolutely shocking customer service and no people skills whatsoever.. I wasn’t going to book in to use my other voucher but thought I’d give them another chance and recently called up and once again was spoken to in a poor manner and so will not be going back EVER! Unless you want to be bullied, I would never recommend this place! I would highly suggest that the managementtake these bad reviews on board and up your communication skills and customer service because it is appalling.

Iv given 2 stars because the location is beautiful, the salon is clean and quiet and the lady who did my treatment was lovely, but I have marked down due to the fact they use and distribute Doterra and I do not agree with multilevel marketing and their business structure and sales tactics. If I had known they distribute Doterra, I wouldn't have booked. Many people have allergies to essential oils and it should be discussed and disclosed before the treatment that essential oils are used and that they would try to sell them to you.

I attended Cullen Day Spa with my friend as for a couples spa day. From the get go the manager/owner was very rude towards us, snappy and seemed rushed, even though she was late for our appointment time. She was not attentive whatsoever and did not make us feel comfortable or welcome at all. She was also very rude to her staff in front of us, which I found extremely unprofessional and upon reading other reviews, this appears to be a regular occurrence by the manager/owner. We also received a facial as part of our spa package and we Both agreed the facial was terrible, the staff quite literally just did a quick rub of our cheeks and that was it. Now I’m no professional, but I’ve had my fair share of facials before and this was not it, my friend is also a qualified beauty therapist and was in agreement with me also. There was also residue left on my face which was not wiped off completely and I did not feel comfortable telling this to the manager. We also used a spa which was not cleaned after each use.Overall, as a first time customer this was a terrible experience and for the price you pay, you would expect the customer service to be exceptional. Would not recommend this place at all and will not be coming back.In response to your response…I’m sorry we had no clearer instructions in due to arriving 15mins early, when even we had a phone call at 10am asking of the second persons details.. In regards to the consultation I had shown the young lady that there were NO consultation forms in my emails and asked where they were to which the owner had proceeded to be snappy with saying “well just use the ipad”… Nor was the owner with a client when we arrived because she was micro managing the young lady when she was serving me. I felt very uncomfortable with the poor approach into what look like training this young girl with what felt like undermining her capability to helping me fill out a form. The owner is very rude to her staff! When I had circled my 1,2 & 3 on the form, she made assumptions about where my “overstressed” was coming from, not knowing my personal life. The owner presumed we would not fit in the spa bath together, with an uncomfortable approach looking us up and down. We booked a couples massage, and we were treated like it wasn’t for us, by poor judgment.. It was very rushed! My friend was in the spa bath awaiting the all clear to get out due to her hearing impairment.. But again there was no need for the rude hostility.. We had proceeded with the full body massage to which was okay, when it was time to turn over for our “facial” I had mentioned I needed to go to the toilet to which your response was “this is why we go to the toilet prior” not knowing I had already gone to the toilet, but I have bladder which are uncontrollable. I felt I was an inconvenience by the owners response. The “mini” facial was no a mini facial. Nor a scalp massage was involved.. When we had finished you were not with another client you were on the phone by the computer. There were no other clients in at the time..I’ve noticed you don’t take lightly to honest feedback, very unprofessional and not welcoming. I can handle your lack of respect, but your staff deserve better. The belittling of your staff was very disgusting.

Owner is super rude and if you have a voucher she will lie and say the prices have gone up and make you pay the difference, she’s been running that scam for years. DO NO GO HERE. Berrimah Spa is way better and more deserving.

Greeted by the rudest woman ever, who claimed she was the owner! She shouted at my husband when we got there and explained that we had only booked in for one rather than a couples massage. Clearly an error with their system as I had been charged for more than one person but no kind of customer service to find a solution. Just point-blank refusal to provide us another time when we could both attend or offer a refund. Very disappointing!

I had booked a couples package for my partner and I way back in March. We had our treatment on Saturday and it was amazing! I was very apprehensive after reading several negative reviews however our experience at the spa was extremely positive and relaxing. Oopa and Jenny looked after us, were kind, professional and did wonders for the knots in my back! We were put off by a lot of the signage and written notices particularly in the waiting area but our experience with Oopa and Jenny was nothing but positive and professional.

Highly recommend Cullen Bay Day Spa. What a treat. We went for a package deal - spa, full body massage and mini facial. Worth every cent. Oh my god! This is someone who knows the business of therapy. A beautiful holistic approach. Thank you so much.

Absolutely disgusted with the customer service. Working in the beauty industry myself I know how customers / fellow human beings should be treated. Shocked this place is still up and running with the negativity flowing through it. I won’t be recommending anyone to come here unless they want to feel deflated.
