Extremely happy with the service and equipment. The staff was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. You will get better prices if you pre-book and pay for rental before arriving. Easy pick up and returns.

I went to hire a pair of skis from Rental Perisher for 2h for my daughter to finish the day and I was told $27AUD. I came back with my daughter 10 min later and they asked me to pay $65, finally I paid $36. Waiting 15 min. for fitting. Lack of professionalism.

Knowledgeable staff, great quality gear and an exceptional customer service culture has defined our experiences here.On our most recent trip their expert advice and assistance made a big difference to how our day trip to the snow played out. I am very grateful and wanted to say thanks to the team, and to Ellen in particular to went above and beyond to help us sort out issues out and make sure our day went smoothly.

I have had better service at a kebab shop in whoop whoop. I have never found more rude and unfriendly staff. The lady at the first counter was friendly enough, she explained to us that since we came halfway through our first day, when we returned our gear we would receive credit for the half day we missed. Went through to get the boot and there was no one around. It was confusing where we were supposed to go next and when we asked we were met with unfriendly commands of where to go. They were constantly talking down to us and seemed annoyed when we asked for help. My partner and I were put off asking for help with our boots since they would just demand our size, give us the boots and walk away without even asking if we knew how to put them on or if we had used them before. It was just as confusing when looking to go get our boards, nobody let us know where to go at anytime and would talk to us as if it was obvious where we had to go. We felt so dejected after the experience I was no longer excited to get onto the slopes. When we returned our gear we received the same unfriendly, rude service. When we asked about the half day refund mentioned to us at the start of our trip they acted as if we had made it up to get a hand out. Badgering us about who we talked to, wanting a name and description. When we have them one we ended up with a swarm of people all pitching in about how they never do that and that they’ve never heard of such a thing. The way they treated us was appalling. We weren’t the ones who had said it. Their staff were. When we mentioned we were happy to discuss it with the manager one of the crowd of staff put their hand up. Didn’t say anything just put their hand up them one of the other staff pointed to her and said that’s the manager. I would’ve expected a manager to say something along the lines of “I’m the manager. I’m sorry about all this I’m not sure who would’ve told you that information as that is not the normal way we operate.” Or anything even remotely professional. She ended up leaving with all the staff except one. She asked for my pass and said “You know it’s only $15 right?” In a condescending tone. Absolutely appalling customer service. Furthermore an appalling way to treat another human being. If it is just $15 then it shouldn’t be this big of a deal for so many staff member to come over and put in their input for. She fiddled around for ages mentioning to us that we can go to customer service and talk to them before mentioning to one of her colleagues that she ‘could do it here but won’t’. In the end she said she couldn’t do it and was going to make us leave without returning my ski pass. I will never rent from Perisher again. I have always done in the past and have been on the fence about buying my own gear but after this experience I definitely will be. If you are reading this intending on renting from them, don’t. Go to Jindabyne where they have better gear for cheaper. That’s what I should’ve done and it would’ve been a much better trip for it. I cannot stress enough that the whole team at the ski hire all need training in being decent human beings and treating others with kindness.

Poor service. As a first timer it would have been helpful to have boots fitted and been shown how to put them on and adjust fit. The guy that served us just couldn't be bothered. It took a long time to also get skis, poles, helmet and they didn't bother to change the name tag stickers. This was the only negative experience during our holiday. This is a tourist area, great customer service is essential.

Gear and equipment: Average - not bad, but also not great.Customer service: absolutely pathetic - senior staff and the manager were rude, disinterested and patronising.Overall experience: Disappointing to say the least - I will certainly never return, and I recommend that you hire your gear from Jindabyne. Last year I hired my gear from Cherri Pow. The staff were more friendly, helpful and the gear was far superior.Message to the manager: Remember that you are working at a ski resort, not a pub. Guests are paying a lot of money to be here. They are here to enjoy themselves and create lasting memories. When you receive a complaint find a solution not an excuse. Take responsibility for your staffs' mistakes. Their performance is a reflection of your effort and competence as a leader.

Very happy with the people, services and the skis. When my hired pair got stolen (hired from a different shop) a staff member from Perisher Showsports Hire did everything to get me back on the slope. He even lent me a pair of skis for free for a day. Thank you so much.Kind people, efficient service. See you again.

My experience with Benny was awful. He wouldn’t honour a previous quote I’d received. I was extremely calm and after I further explained the situation to him and could see he was not only extremely rude but wasn’t going to budge, I asked to speak to his manager. He then told me his manager was at lunch and that he was the 2IC. When I advised I’d be happy to wait he then said because I was refusing to pay, he’d call security!!!! When I finally spoke to his manager and explained, his manager (Bill I think?) just seemed to take Benny’s side, not believing what I explained at all. Benny needs extensive re-training in Customer Service - you DO NOT hound and harass a female customer around the store to the point that they have to ask you to leave them alone, nor threaten to call security every time your authority is called into question. I don’t stand for this behaviour and neither should other people. Avoid this business! Other staff have all been lovely, however you’ll find much better service elsewhere.

[perisher snowsports hire bullocks flat]The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the staff were friendly. However, I would not highly recommend hiring your snow gear here. This was my first time snowboarding and I told them I was a EU39 or womens 8. They gave me a mens 8 which was way too big but at the time I didnt know as I wasnt sure of how the fit was meant to be. I wasted two whole days trying to learn how to snowboard and it was just too difficult as my shoes were too big. So upsetting as I was only here at the snows for 3 days. Because of this experience, I would rather buy my own snowboard and shoes for $1000+ than hire here.

Paddy and his team were kind, considerate and went out of their way to help us as a family of complete novices we weren’t as well prepared for the snow as we could have been but with their help and willingness to find solutions to our problems it was still an enjoyable and hassle free trip! So grateful for the exemplary customer service. Thanks!
