The owner have done a great job of modernising an old motel. Well decorated, comfortable beds, well appointed, quite and conveniently located. Good value too. Would definitely recommend

We stayed a night here, and while Covid is going on, The Cedar Lodge is operating on a non face to face contactless arrangement which we completely understood and appreciated given the circumstances.We spoke to the manager of the motel on the phone, and got the details about locating our room key and was informed of the usual details. When I asked about suitable places for dinner that night I was given a number of different options. It was not a rushed call like you experience with a lot of places these days. I felt like they appreciated us spending time there, in a country type of way. The call ended with being told not to hesitate calling back if we had any problems.I love genuine people!!!The room was clean and tidy on arrival, the bed comfortable and the shower was excellent. We had no complaints at all.We loved that it was a very short walk to the main street, which was great. Could have a few drinks and no problems getting home after dinner.We would stay here again without a hesitation and would recommend it to others.

What a fantastic little motel! So much care and attention to detail has gone into the remodel of this quaint property. All the staff are so friendly, with great little touches like shampoo, body wash, tea, coffee, town map and comfy beds. Highly recommend.

Cute old classic style motel with fully refurbished and spotless rooms. Quaint and comfortable. Great for an overnight stop, or a base for local exploration. Perfect.

The old reliable. It never fails to satisfy. Very friendly people. Mick Jagger stayed here back in late 1969 when he was filming Ned Kelly, but I can't tell you which room, because nobody seems to know. Still, you might get lucky.

A very nice, small yet well designed lodge. The room was clean, the bed smells a nice cotton fragrance, there were a small tv angled nicely towards bed, a fridge, water jug filled to welcome us & nice selection of coffee & tea sachets (they use Twinings my favourite brand!). All self managed. When you book you'll get a combination number to retrieve your room's key from a box.

Highly recommend the management of this Motel. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept in-better than at home. The staff were very obliging and made our stay so easy. They even ironed our clothes! The only drawback is that there is no microwave or kitchen type facilities-dishes have to be rinsed in the bathroom. However we were supplied with cutlery, toaster, electric kettle and anything we thought we needed. It's a great little historic town where everyone knows everybody. The town is making the most of its heritage as an old gold mining town so the buildings are authentic. Excellent stay

Rooms are nicely updated and clean. Beds are comfy and the water pressure in the shower was wonderful (unusual for a motel). Just a few minutes walk to pick up our pizza and to IGA. It's a really quiet and relaxed space. Would I stay there again ? Yes, I would.

Basic facilities but service is great, rooms are clean. Location is grande.
