Rob is an incredible guide and it’s fair to say that he offers far more than just a rock climbing experience.My wife and I arrived as “pretty okay” indoor climbers with zero outdoor climbing experience. We were a little nervous, but that all dissipated within moments of meeting Rob.Rob immediately made us feel safe and confident in his guiding abilities, and the whole experience was seemless. From chatting about climbing and our love of the outdoors to being 20m up a wall shouting instructions to the ground, the entire day was perfect.I cannot recommend Rob enough to anyone who would like to really learn about rock climbing, it’s history, and even the amazing Nowra area.

We were first time climbers, looking for competent instruction. We met Rob who took us to the grotto where we enjoyed the experience thoroughly with expert advice, motivation and awesome location. We had our first outdoor climbing experience with Rob over three days. He was great at figuring out our skill level and listening to our climbing goals and he tailored the sessions to us. We were particularly interested in lead climbing, top rope rigging, safety procedures, anchoring, trad protection and Rob created some great challenges to get hands on experience including lead-belay which demonstrated some serious trust on his part.We topped out on a well known pitch called Samurai Pizza Cat which was huge for us.

As beginner climbers, we couldn’t have asked for a better teacher. Rob was so enthusiastic and had an abundance of great knowledge, which really helped us pick up the skills quickly. We had such an amazing day, and one we will never forget.

We had a group of two go out with Rob mid-week, one was quite a good climber and I'm a beginner myself. We climbed all day and learnt about all aspects of lead belaying, as well as climbing and can't describe what a day we had. Rob has a very welcoming and bubbly personality and is insanely good as his craft. He fine tuned the experience and climbs to our skill level and desires. We will be back again soon!

Highly recommend Climb Nowra. Rob is extremely competent and encouraging; a great teacher. Enthusiastically passes on his love of climbing and the great outdoors. We've spent 2 days with Rob this year and are sure to book in many more sessions in the future.
